Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Ralph turns his head, looks at all the junk on his couch and the bikes leaning against it, and laughs wildly. :D

Sounds pretty much like any other college dorm couch then. Totally crash-able.;)

Better than all that sleep I tried to get on the train :)

I'll be fine, I think I've made a decision... nice shiny apartment. I'll ride the 99 Corolla into the ground and only use it for groceries and large goods.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Did you buy any Unclaimed Freight while you were there? ;)

Only a couple of pop's and trailer hitch. I stupidly didn't have a hitch with me :o

That a Grumpy Old Men special right there:D Whats it got for heat?

2000 BTU propane forced air furnace with thermostat and two CO detectors. Since the fish house is officially my B-day present (October) and considering the significance of the upcoming birthday, I'll happily fall into the grumpy old man role :D

Nice. Very nice. Color? Pics?

Nothing better than ice fishing and playing cribbage wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Not to mention the option of cooking a pizza while watching the Vikings or the Wild fine tune things for yet another championship run. ;)

I don't have pics yet, but here's a link to the house I bought

I have to buy a TV for it. I considered getting a satellite dish, and still may, but I'll at least get a digital converter box and have off air TV. DVD player as well.

I also expect to head out your way this winter and try some of the lakes around Alex. I'll let you know when I do :)

Cue the theme to Hawaii five O or what:D

That sounds like a ton of fun. Used to love ice fishing, we never had a shack but it was still a blast

It still will be. Well, maybe not 90. I never saw 90. I don't we ever will see 90 this summer. Hopefully you can get through the game before the tunderstorms start after 4pm. I'll be at Fenway Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week. It's going to be hot and muggy. Finally. Last game I went to it was in the 50s and drizzly.

You know what else bothers me about this weather? Looks like we're finally getting our first stretch of summer weather and I'm now seeing back-to-school commercials. That's not right.

No rain at Fenway. ROASTING hot in the bleachers where we were. There with L'il, Mr and my mother who is not built to hike up the bleachers, sit in the hot or walk to the T etc. Made it through. They lost, keeping my streak of never seeing a winning game there yet. Got home to floodwatch and wet roads with big trees floating by in the Merrimack heading down from No Chelmsford.

Hey partiers!

Any of you ever own an Alaskan Malamute? I'm considering trying out for Dad of the Year by surprising the tribe and bringing one home this fall - a breeder up in the panhandle has a litter due 8 August.

Sounds good.

I had my teeth cleaned last week. My dentist showed me pics of the walleye that him and his two sons (ages 10 and 8) have caught over the past 5 weeks on an area lake. 12 pictures and the smallest fish was 7.5 pounds. Two over 10. :) (And unlike your neck of the woods the fish here in God's country only have two eyes. :p :D )

I survived my first NASCAR race. It was pretty fun and the ending was exciting. We had good seats, just before the finish line.

I saw a guy with the number of his favorite driver shaved in his chest hair.

My buddy in high school used to have one. It liked to lick up the spilled beers. It was an alchie. I know what I'm about to write about them sounds horrible, but I don't mean to steer you away from one if you're up for the grooming.

While you're hard pressed to find a nicer dog with regards to temperament, the grooming can be a bit much for a lot of people. The long hair needs combing quite often if you don't want it tangled and thus the job being all that much harder when you finally do comb it out. It also starts to smell a lot as the feces gets stuck to its rear, therefore require regular baths too.

It also has two coats of fur, the normal coat that you see and the undercoat which is slow growing. You should avoid cutting that coat, I'm told. Then again, I'm in MN and you're in TX. That undercoating of fur is meant to keep them warm in the extremely cold winters. They're not at adverse to sleeping outside on all but the coldest of nights around here. They're built for it.

Better than the StL Rams fan I saw on TV once, who had the logo shaved into his back hair.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Evenin' lodge. Nice, relaxing weekend, including a private hot tub Saturday afternoon, followed by excellent chinese food and lounging on the couch for a couple of hours, watching "Deadliest Catch".

*mutters something incoherent about those ****ing sailboats always being in the way* Sailing is nice though, so long as you stay out of the way. Nice way to relax if the weather is nice.
"It's a schooner!"
"You dumb bastard. It's a sailboat, not a schooner."
"A schooner is type of sailboat, you big dummy."
"YOU KNOW WHAT? THERE IS NO EASTER BUNNY!"

Yeah, its not exactly built for the West Texas climate really. You might want to look into something else that doesn't need as much upkeep. Just how old are your kids anyways?? That's something you should always think about when you get a dog. And if you're just looking for a family dog, chances are that there's one sitting in a shelter that you can get for a song compared to a purebred pup.

That guy always shows up at Nascar races, much like the Shoot IT guy always shows up at hockey games. ;)

"Isn't this a breakthrough, that I'm a sailor? I sail? I sail now?"
"Keep sailing, Bob!"

You know, that story would be better if you had said, Private Hot tub for 2. ;) :D

Just sayin' ;)
