Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

I thought you were saving yourself for a lighthouse keeper? (random "Clockwork Orange" reference)

Lighthouse keeper is friggen home ALL THE TIME!!! But a sailor he is gone for a while...

Havent I told you guys my theory before when I feel in love with the cruise ship captain last fall. My perfect scenerio. He is gone for 6 to 10 weeks, because I am not an idiot, or a shopper but the household will be well run and he wont be broke when he gets home. Because he is gone for a while I will actually miss him, it will be like a honeymoon all over again because before I get bored of him, he goes away! Not to say I wouldnt miss him, and maybe this is my extreme reaction to my last two boyfriends being pretty needy (plus miss independant....not a good combo). But I think I should start trolling the sailor hangouts. It would work beautifully!!!

the sailors say "winger, you're a fine girl. what a good wife you would be. but my life, my love and my lady...is the sea." :D

That is how the song was supposed to go......

The best sandwich in the world, brought to you by Thomas Keller

Spanglish's Sandwich
From Thomas Keller

4 thick slices of bacon
2 slices of Monterrey Jack cheese
2 thick slices of rustic white bread, toasted and hot
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
4 tomato slices
2 leaves of butter lettuce
1 teaspoon unsalted butter
1 large egg

1. In a skillet, cook the bacon over moderate heat, turning, until crisp, about 8 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
2. Set the Monterrey Jack slices on 1 piece of toast. Spread the mayonnaise on the other slice of toast, then top with the bacon, tomato and lettuce.
3. In a small, nonstick skillet, melt the butter. Add the egg and fry over moderate heat, turning once, until crisp around the edge, about 4 minutes; the yolk should still be runny.
4. Slide the egg onto the lettuce; close the sandwich and eat right away.

Makes 1 sandwich.
Yes. End of discussion. I have found the perfect sandwich.

Good morning Lodge.

Went to the Dr. yesterday and picked up little g's hearing aid. He hates it! I am sure that over time he will get accustomed to it.

I am going to whine for a bit as it was sort of a frustrating day for me yesterday. Hearing aids, pt, ot, speech therapy, swim therapy, picked up a handicapped permit for parking, sorted through mountains of paperwork for insurance and then researched online for a pediatric commode because little g is going to have a hell of a time learing how to use the toilet. Meanwhile, Little g's peers are playing baseball, going to swimming lessons and such. To top it off we had some friends over for dinner last night. A couple of the kids (ages four and five) were teasing little g because he "walks funny" when using his walker. These kids were not trying to be mean they were just stating the obvious as that is what kids do. Raising a child with special needs can be stressful for various reasons and at times it can be a hard pill to swallow. End of whining.
it's alright; little g's surpassed expectations already and will continue to do so. *, I think he'll become whatever he wants to be. :)

Evening, Lodge. Felt good to work in demos today; the freezer looked like crap at the end of the day and they couldn't hold me responsible for it. Feels better to not even care. :D

It cannot be considered perfect. It has mayo on it.

Whatever, mayo is great in the right applications.

I was able to meet up with a former roommate from Tech tonight at the bar. I guess I am able to find ways to stay entertained in southern indiana!

oh, and I almost forgot, I'm still: :D :D :D

Mayo is the worst regularly used condiment on the planet.

You want a future reference for any bet? Involve mayo. I'd almost rather spray Static Guard up my own arse, light a match, fart, then inhale the flame than eat mayo.

Edit: this past winter, in FFL, a buddy and I had a bet. If I beat him, he had to drink a microwaved shot of Special Export Beer. I had to eat a couple ounces of mayo, straight. Yeah.

For the extra credit: you have to pay for the jar of mayo with a check.

Then I would have to up the ante on my end. For my buddy, that would mean some boiling hot Natty Light.

And for the record, I won that aforementioned bet. And it took a lot of scrubbing with industrial strength cleaner to get that hot beer smell out of my microwave.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

long day, just got up to Port Huron an hour or so ago, including a 2 hour fuel stop in Windsor it took us 12+ hours to go from Monroe all the way up.

Winger, that's the exact opposite train of thought by most females regarding this career, usually we're away too much, and things fall apart. It definitely isn't a career thats ideal for having a family, but there are ways to make it easier, and the pay is typically really good.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Hi Ralph

Howdy to the rest of you :D

Its raining, I know I'm shocked at that:rolleyes: A freakin flood watch in July, what the heck is up with that. I'm glad I don't have to cut hay anymore. Its July and I still couldn't get the tractor out on the fields without burying it in the mud.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Hi Wally! I figured that Lodgers would start showing up soon. :)
