What's a pasty? Isn't that what strippers wear?
you must be kidding, I can't believe that this hasn't been discussed in the lodge before!

They're basically meat, potatoes, other vegies, and spices stuffed inside a flakey crust similar to that of a pot pie's. Its a yooper thing. I love them, but haters like brent will say that they suck.:p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

I'm not a fan of any of the food items at Starbucks so I don't think I'll make the trek there to get something, even if it is for free.

It is raining again here. Light rain on the walk to the T, no rain on the walk from the T to the office, but now it's raining again.

Have to go to Nashua, NH tonight to meet friends for dinner. I hope there isn't too much traffic.

I was on the phone last night with my entire family at various times to schedule a milion different things. My brother is coming home Thursday night for a visit and there are all these different plans in the works. It was amusing.

I ended up with a bagel from Dunkin' Donuts because it was more convenient (right in the building) and I also am not a fan of their food (or regular coffee).
Awwww, your naivety is cute. :D

(I bet it's been years since you've heard that...)

*pbbbbt* :D

I feel like it's 1960-something...I am totally enraged at the typewriter in my office.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

I thought you said pasty at first and was very jealous. Once I realized it was pastry, I don't feel jealous, but I'm still craving a pasty.

Lol, I read that as pasty first too. And was also jealous. Then had to re-read when I got to the word "Starbucks". I was confused.

The ice cream was good.

You would have had trouble sneaking by the guards, or at least you should. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Good morning, Lodge. Pork chops and roasted carrots are on the menu for tonight. :)

I had grilled pork chops (in such a fashion that they were tremendously juicy), new potatoes and peas for dinner, with blackberries for dessert. It was marvelous.

And now I'm picturing pastys with tassels on them.

Morning, Lodge. Another day off work.

Afternoon lodge

just got out of the river and headed down Huron, St. Clair around 7am, then down to Monroe, 2 weeks until I'm headed back home =]

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Was all excited about the Firefox add-on I installed on my machine to aid in productivity (LeechBlock) and then got overzealous and blocked all the websites during lunch (straight through from 8:30am to 4:00pm). Luckily, I have IE so I can use that during lunch today until I can adjust the settings at 4pm.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

My design review didn't stay within the hour long time slot. I went over by 40 minutes.:o
But we had a lot to discuss on this project, some good, some bad, but I think we made progress and worked out a good plan to bring the project home. Part of me is disappointed that I'm changing jobs and won't see this through to the very end, the other part is relieved, since I know how volatile this project has become and will be happy to just be done with it.

:p I love (and primarily use) Firefox; however, since I'm an idiot and overzealous re: getting myself back on track, I'm stuck using IE until 4pm when I can go in and change the settings on the add-on.

Chrome is okay -- it distorted and wouldn't load some of the pages I use for photography stuff and I like the set up of FF better.
