A coworker turned 48 today. People are teasing him about being old so he said you're only as old as the person you feel and my wife is younger then me. That made me laugh. :p

Youth

I sent an e-mail with some of the forms signed (the ones that were completed and I'm ok with) and asking questions on the others. Fun, fun, fun. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I made a poor decision on where to go for the mortgage. I'm sure I'll get things worked out and hopefully be moving in to my house in about a month. :)

They will sell your mortgage to another company in a week anyway....

Who would believe- I have been home since about 2:30. I am done seeing patients at 12:30. Usually I am there until 6. w00t!!

I am going to toot my own horn.

So, back in February I won a fish house (wheelhouse). It is a nice fish house but not one that I would have purchased. This morning while waiting for an appointment I over heard a guy with two young boys (probably ages 7 and 10) talking to his wife about wanting to buy a fish house. The two young boys would speak up every now and then about how fun it would be to fish with dad in a nice fish house.

(In a round about way I know of this family and they are good hard working people who don't have much in regards to material possesions.)

The type of house they described was very similar to the one I have but their budget was nowhere near the range that would allow them to buy the type of house they wanted. Being the nice guy I am I politley interrupted their conversation and asked how much they wanted to spend on a fish house. They gave me a number. I gave them my address and asked them to look at the fish house I have and if they like it they can have it for $500.00 less than the price they wanted to spend. Which is less than half of what the fish house is worth.

The family just stopped by and gave me cash for the fish house. Both the mom and dad had tears in their eyes as they thanked me over and over again. The two boys were also genuinely appeciative and were no doubt amped for winter to get here. :)
