Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Just checking in after a busy weekend. Signed the lease on the beach front place yesterday (pics to follow). Then went to a poker party with tcbg at one of my friend's house. 24 players at 25$/person buy in. Tcbg came in 3rd! :) Spent the afternoon on the lake, kayaking and relaxing.

Where has tcbg been? did I miss something?

Good morning boyz:)

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! moanin' monday is here.

Good morning Lodge.

Little gII's birthday party was a blast. We made a cake just for him to enjoy. Once he figured out the cake was just for him and he tasted the frosting, he tore into it. When I say he tore into it I mean he destoyed it with a ferverish passion. The poor little cake never had a chance. I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time. If I were to enter the tape on America's Funniest Videos it might have a chance to win it all type funny. :)

Took the boys to the lake for the first time yesterday. They had a blast. Good to get the old stars and stripes speedo out again. ;)

Good Morning Lodge!

This weekend was pretty good, though camping still sucks. I knew I should have said that I couldn't make it, but stupid me goes anyway. Apparently when my friend says that he has plenty of camping stuff/supplies that does not include a tent for me to sleep in.

And it's a sport. More a sport than a lot of Olympic "sports" they allow, or what others call a "sport" instead of a "game" (golf, I'm looking in your direction). ;)
Hey now.
Oh, and I feel really bad for Watson... great chance to hit it within 30 feet on 18 and hits it long then can't get up and down. I think he just ran out of gas, but a great showing nonetheless.
Agreed. That was hard to watch.:(

Hey now.

Camping is fun, if you know how to camp. Apparently your friend doesn't.

And :p

Nope -- just taking an off-season vacation. He's been working on some art projects.

That sounds adorable! Are there photos you would share?

So relieved to have a new apartment (this one has a dishwasher and a washer/dryer [neither of which I currently have] and I get to paint!!). Pics here. Can't wait to quit my job and become a full-time beach bum :p

Camping is great until you get to the point of having to sleep outside and its cold and wet and you have to sleep on the hard ground. So I guess I just like the campfire/drinking part of camping.

Oh, and I got in a fight with a bush while camping. The bush had a lot of sharp thorns, now I am all scratched/cut up and have 100000 slivers.

Well, first off, get a tent. :p Second, try finding a spot that doesn't have rocks. That usually helps. Look for a flat grassy area. It's just as hard as sleeping on your living room floor. And finally, just wear sweatpants/sweatshirt if it is cold. I hear that helps a lot. :p

Nice digs! Is the new dishwasher the guy in the picture of your bedroom?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

No means no!
It was dark and I tripped on a log that I couldn't see. I fell straight into the bush, luckily I got my arm up to protect my face, so my arm was a mess, but my face didn't get scrached up. Oh, and in the same fall I managed to jam up my knee somehow.

I don't want a tent, that would mean that I'm intending to go camping again. I had a sweatshirt, but I think one of my ******* friends took it because it was nowhere to be found when I started getting cold.

On the bright side, I managed to do some pretty fun off-roading with the Jeep!:p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

My main issue with camping / any outdoor activity is bugs - and there's a lot of them in the MN lakes country. That's one thing I like a lot about Colorado - most of the state has a rather arid climate, so you just don't notice bugs out there that much if at all.

One thing I've noticed this year is a lack of bugs. I'm guessing it's due to the overall lack of rain, but I have to say I like it. Heck, I just saw my first mosquito of the summer last night.
