I am sure that they sold fire extinguishers. I doubt that they had sprinklers. From various reports, employees did try to extinguish the fire but couldn't. It became a four-alarm fire, the largest in DC since 2007.

It is interesting that on their twitter page that the tweets before the ones about the fire deal with contributing to Oklahoma City tornado relief.

Good Morning, Lodge!

I have the day off! Later this morning, I am heading to Siren, WI for a wedding that I am in. This should be fun. Me in a pink dress. No photos. At least there will be beer.

I heard it talked about on the radio, it isn't a calorie bomb according to what I heard. They said it was listed at 300 or some calories, which isn't that bad for a breakfast sandwich.

Hello Lodge.

Its been a busy week. Flew to Indiana Wednesday, and back yesterday. Got a bunch done when i was down there.

Heading down to my parents house tonight, after work. Not sure what we're doing tonight yet. Possibly a concert, maybe just going out to eat...we're just playing it by ear. Tomorrow MNS is driving down and we're bar-hopping around to a couple places, and then heading to the Trace Adkins concert. We still have a spare ticket, since Brent's vagina done got sore, if anyone from MN wants to go.

You can get one free doughnut, no strings attached. The chain does it every year for National Doughnut Day.

Every "real" hardware store I was ever in was a fire trap. When I was a kid there was a place within walking distance that had EVERYTHING (or so it seemed). I vividly remember pile after pile of old cigar boxes just stuffed to the gills with nails, screws, nuts, bolts... whatever. New stuff, old stuff, salvaged stuff... they had whatever you needed. And the old guy who owned the place always had a smile (when he wasn't chomping on his cigar) and knew exactly where everything was.

Made a rookie mistake today and answered my phone on my day off. Guess who gets to go to work tonight. :(

Sales and marketing are about to drive me off the deep end. I just had to write a long, if printed about 2 page, email explaining the reasons why we won't develop new ratings for an engine THAT DOESN'T MEET THE ****ING EPA EMISSIONS STANDARDS!!!!! and ISN'T MEANT TO BE MARKETED OUTSIDE OF THE USA!!!!
