****, bummer news all around here. I thought it was bad enough today dealing with a favorite client who had to put her beloved dog to sleep last week. Luckily the Boss happened to run into her last week at Zingermans and gave me a heads up about that. That would have really sucked stepping into that personal emotional bubble without knowing that had happened. Knew it was coming because she's been worried about it for at least 2 years, and Tiggs was an old puppy then. Still sucks to have to deal with it.

No offense, but I am dreading the Frozen Four now that your team is there. I don't want to watch replays of 2011 all weekend long. :mad:

I am looking forward to vacation though. And Mr. wT and I got a ticket upgrade for the Frozen Four. A friend of mine bought tickets in the club level (has way more priority points than me) and can't go. He traded tickets with me and sold my nosebleed seats. I have awesome friends.

Just think of 1996 and 1998...or think of it as a way to get new highlights of UMD winning a title :D



I can't wait of course, it's a special time to be a Bulldog fan.

So I'm a little annoyed. Back in Jan/Feb, one of my co-workers who has taken Red Sox tickets off my hands when I can't go asked about getting tickets again for this season. I told her how a guy in my Dad's group dropped out and we were looking for folks to take some tickets, would you like, say, five games? She was so excited. I told her how we have a ticket draft and I would let her know what games and prices (because the Sox have tiered pricing for games). The ticket draft was last night. My dad has this somewhat over-complicated method but it's the way he does it to seem the most fair. Breaks out all the games into 8 rounds, we select numbers to see where we pick, etc. And since some guys didn't want as many as other, well, it's very involved. Anyway, I told him I had a person to take five games. He worked that into his system. All the games are picked, I even finagled a couple of them to make sure she didn't get crap.

This morning I come in to tell her which five games and how much they are. She emails me back that due to travel and her son buying a house, she can only take two of the ones she got in the draft, and I'm sure you can find other takers. Um, Not the point. You became a draftee. It's up to YOU to get rid of the three. My dad fronted the money for tickets and needs to get paid by all involved. That said, she was right and I had no problem at all getting rid of those three games with other co-workers. Still, what a pain.

Since Vegas got its NHL rink that they built in anticipation of getting or luring an NHL team, they started bringing in a series of college games. U of MN and UND are playing there next year.

Yes, it sounds like it is Jan 5-6, 2018. A tournament. Not sure who else is in the tourney, though there is some rumor that NMU will be there too.

What if it's part of a double header between UND and Minnesota. NMU and Michigan Tech is one part of it.
