Good Morning Lodge. We got an actual snowfall here. And out here, it's not an actual snowfall unless you can measure it in feet while having a whole number that isn't 0. :p

Good Morning Lodge.

Still fighting the cold that's trying to take over my body.

Found out one of Jr's buddies is going to stay with us for a few days. Kid's family is in Korea now (both parents and both step parents). He's going to a school in NY (no DI hockey so I forget the school name) and he'll stop here on his way to Korea for holidays. Scary to think that Jr is the one responsible for coordinating social activities for the buddies coming back from school for the holidays.
That is pretty cool

Chaotic end of day at work. Normally have 1 shuttle truck at 5:15 head back to main building. Thanks to ahole customers ordering at last minute, was in danger of having 2 trucks, therefore massively delaying some staff's workdays at main building. Talked with Team Lead, figure out deadlines, and the latest the shuttle truck could leave. Made it 1 truck with 3 minutes to spare. Whew. Total cluster ending. Hopefully, the rest of the week will be a bit quieter.

I do have to work on Fri, which will be BEYOND boring. I'll probably have 30 minutes of work total during the abbreviated 6 hour work-day. Blech. Not looking forward to it.

Good Morning Lodge! :)

So I guess national news was in town yesterday with their freakout narrative about white stuff landing on the ground. We just continue on with our day.

Good morning Lodge. It's Tuesday, but I'm not working. Well, im not at work, but I do have some work stuff to do, like first pass at my yearly review. Ugh. My boss wants it uploaded by tomorrow. I think it will be easier than my mid-year. Also, hockey tonight. What could go wrong? It's Tuesday. My team is playing a ranked team. They're playing poorly....should be an awesome night.

Good morning Lodge.

Pancakes and bacon for breakfast.

It rained last night and everything is covered in ice.

Bags are packed, passport in hand. Heading across to Ottawa soon to begin the trek to Belfast. Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would be going to Europe to watch college hockey.

A Vermont fan I met last month when my friends and I went to the game at UVM was looking forward to hockey in Ireland. He seemed a bit more excited about Thanksgiving dinner at the castle used as Winterfell in Game of Thrones. That would be a cool trip.

Have fun!

Good Evening, Lodge!

Somehow managed to get tomorrow off. I offered to help, but my co-workers know that I have a 5-6 hour drive ahead of me and instead of going to work, backtrack home, and then Milwaukee, it makes more sense for me to stay at home.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

I get a two-hour early parole tomorrow. That has me far more excited than it should.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

HHT!! Big win tonight going into Thanksgiving break with no games this weekend.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

Today's lesson in how corpies think:

We have "dock-locks," which are hooks that latch onto a bar on semi-trucks to prevent the trailer from moving/driver driving off in case someone is inside the trailer. Smaller cube trucks do not have this bar (including the shuttle truck that delivers my stuff to the main building). Corpie INSISTS that the shuttle driver go get an employee, and utilize the dock-lock, despite the hook not doing anything, because "using a dock-lock is policy." Yeah.
