Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

Good afternoon, Lodge.

Went beer hunting with a buddy today. Got our special release bottles from a local brewery and had a pint; we were actually first in line! Guessing weather helped out a bit. The brewers even brought out a just-made beer; so new it didn't even have a name. So the first few people in line got to sample that; we were in fact, guinea pigs for the beer. We were the first consumers to have it. It was pretty good. Then got a text from a different buddy on where to find a certain beer we were looking for, so went over to that store and loaded up. All in all, my beer "cellar" is just about full, and ready for drinking next year (or later).

Time to settle in for the day, and hopefully be sitting at a better hockey table than last night.

Whew! I thought that you went Baer hunting.

Well, one of the beers is called Hammer Of The Beast, but it fortunately does not refer to a bear. It refers to a half unicorn/half dragon. Who has a giant Thor-type hammer.*

*Part of The Beast series from Clown Shoes, it follows Very Angry Beast, Extremely Angry Beast, and Flight Of The Angry Beast. :)

*******HT, even with a period to go. I can't even with this team tonight. I was at work at 7:45am, on my feet all day. All I wanted was to relax and see a good game. But no. Why would that happen? I think I'm going to head home. Have to work again all day tomorrow. Blergh.

Good evening Lodge.

The boys and I took mrs. g out for her birthday dinner this evening. We all had prime rib. Good stuff!

Unless BSU has a third period meltdown, I should be at the HHT. 11th time in 14 games. Mark, put that in your pipe and smoke it. ;)

That game was over 7 minutes into the first. Crush mode for BSU. I shut it off, was hoping for a close game to pair with listening to the Gophs.

HHT!

Caps off a great day. I am very glad that happened. I hate buzzkills after a good day.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

I ended up at Mariucci tonight as my brother's wife didn't want to go, for whatever reason. The people in the seats next to us and in the row in front of us were Jordan Nelson's family (#16 for Mankato State). And they brought a couple Whioux fans who were childhood friends of Jordy, and they spent more time cheering against the Gophers than for Nelson.

Oh, and I'm at the *HT. Shutout for the entire weekend series. I'm tempted to watch the replay tomorrow to see if it was another lazy game for the Huskies or just good play going unrewarded. The latter would make me happier than the former.

HHT! Yeah it was a shootout but UAA didn't lose so that's good enough!

Also I have photographic evidence MeanEgirl is taller than a small child.

Barely.
