Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

A Vermont fan I met last month when my friends and I went to the game at UVM was looking forward to hockey in Ireland. He seemed a bit more excited about Thanksgiving dinner at the castle used as Winterfell in Game of Thrones. That would be a cool trip.

Have fun!
That would be cool. Amy has gotten me started in on GOT. Just got to where they put Joffery on the Iron Throne. Already want to get to where that little rooster nipple gets what's coming to him later.

Today's lesson in how corpies think:

We have "dock-locks," which are hooks that latch onto a bar on semi-trucks to prevent the trailer from moving/driver driving off in case someone is inside the trailer. Smaller cube trucks do not have this bar (including the shuttle truck that delivers my stuff to the main building). Corpie INSISTS that the shuttle driver go get an employee, and utilize the dock-lock, despite the hook not doing anything, because "using a dock-lock is policy." Yeah.

Corpie idiot could **** well put the darn dock lock on the shuttle truck himself. as if it would actually hook onto the trailer.

Yep, the travel group taking care of the school packages has that, amongst other things, as things to do. We (Dad and I) aren't booked through them. Got tired of waiting, and went and booked flights separately, and the itinerary didn't match well. Plus, I'm not a GoT fan, so it wouldn't mean as much.

Morning from Amsterdam. One more flight.

Good morning Lodge.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Relaxing before the 5+ hour car ride. Longer if Twin Cities rush hour is a pain, which it will be.

Traffic this morning wasn't too bad. I got to work in about 45 minutes, which isn't bad at all for the weather we had last night.

That is good to hear. Mr made it to work on time this morning. Usually after a snow, even with the little that we got, it would still take him over an hour. Just hoping he gets off of work early so we can get a head start.

It's a little late, but roads were DEAD today. South 494 in Plymouth is usually bumper-to-bumper when I go to work and it was flyin' today. And no afternoon rush hour on North 494 at all. I can see that stretch of highway from my work, as it is right next to said highway.

And as long as no one brings up politics tomorrow, should be a great T-Day with the family.

Ugh. Work. Every day is a Tuesday this time of year. This is when people remember they haven't taken their RMD, and also need some money for the holidays.

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge! :)

In 2 years I will have to start doing that. I am not looking forward to it.
