Got a little 4-5 foot alligator hanging out next to the boat just north of New Orleans. Just floating in the river, getting some sun. Makes me wish I could do the same on this long weekend...

Perfect day for the Fair. Light breeze, nice temps, and it didn't seem that crowded, even when I left at about 2ish. Didn't totally pig out, unfortunately; one of the factors being timing on when the family and I happened to arrive at a location. I'm not going to try and eat sweet corn ice cream right after I just ate 2 bags of mini-donuts and 6 glasses of the All You Can Drink Milk. ;)

Just got my TSA pre check number! I went on my interview on Thursday. They said it might take up to 30 days. It took three! I have a trip this Thursday so excellent timing. I updated my profile on American's, Jet Blue's and Delta's websites so hopefully when I print out my boarding pass it should be there. Need to update my profile on my company's travel site too.

Raucous thunderboomers rolling through. These ones I like. Bunch of rain, thunder, and a good light show. The ones that bring hail and strong winds can bite me. Funny how much owning a house changes a person.

Even though the Pre lines at some airports have gotten long during rush hour, and some of the smaller regional airports will still make you take out your laptop and liquids when they combine the Pre and regular screening lines, it really is the way to go.

Last night's storm actually woke me up. That just doesn't happen. That's how strong it was. I can sleep through darn near anything in most cases.

The whole thing sounded very far off where I was. It must have stayed north.

It was supposed to be a washout of an afternoon - edge of the tropical storm, bands of rain, gusty winds, etc. right now it's warm and sunny, no wind, very warm. If I had cancelled plans because of the forecast, I'd be pretty ****ed.

I was pretty ****ed that I cancelled plans on Saturday because of this storm. Really all we have seen is a bit of wind.
 
Getting kind of muggy in the house. AC will be replaced tomorrow and we've been lucky in the weather until today. Might be tough sleeping tonight for Jr and I. Mrs is fine with this heat.
