Have done nothing except eat, drink, sleep, and watch Pearl Jam since Friday at 10am. I need a return to normalcy soon...but not before I wait for set list t-shirts outside Fenway at noon today...

Yesterday I was wearing a Foo Fighters t shirt. I was about 2 miles into a fairly nasty hike. A man (had to be in his eighties) said "nice t shirt!" He then rolled up his sleeve and showed me his Foo Fighter tattoo. I'm not sure what impressed me the most. Either his ability to make such a trek or his tattoo or both.

That's pretty awesome. I was in a Target once, and an employee passed by and said, "Wow, a Mudhoney shirt. Nice! I haven't seen one of those in years."

Looooving this stream thing except my productivity is nil. Watched the whole all around Men's Gymnastics meet this afternoon. Bodies should not be able to do that kind of stuff

Nighty night nocturnal ones!

The wifi at the Hampton Napa is not working, so we have to watch Olympics on TV. Went to a winery near Calistoga today. Castelano Amore, very good tour and tasting. Only sell direct to consumer. We ordered a mixed case to be delivered.

Good Morning Lodge!

The coverage is awful on network TV. schlock for 10 minutes. A snippet of sport, 5 min of ads, a little 2 minute snippet, 5 more minutes of ads, then another bit of schlock. My plan was to watch the stream yestersay and then stop in the evening and watch the network to get some of the other sports. The coverage of actual sport was so minimal I gave up. That and they alter the order, sensationalize what has happened and rewrite history to show the story they have made up vs what actually happened. I never realized how bad until yesterday. The commentators on the stream are way more factual and instructive. The ones on network are all emotion and trying to frame the story they want. Irrr-it-tating.
There is something wrong with this?

Swimming is good on TV. I like that they rip on the Russian dopers, and I sure as hell don't care about any non-American performances, why would I? There are too many commercials though.

Caught some Rugby 7s this weekend. That was fun to watch. Too many commercials, and too many "here's how they got there, btw, here are some tissues" stories.

As for non-American stuff, I wouldn't mind watching some things that the best in the world in that sport are doing, even if no Americans are in competition for a medal. Like table tennis.

So the kid fresh out of college some three months prior is already a world-weary business traveler? That's funny. :)

I'm learning quickly.;) sounds like I'll be getting a $200 voucher out of the deal at least!

Sooooo... Eric Church is my favorite artist and has been for years.. I've always said my dream concert is him playing at Red Rocks Ampitheater in Colorado.. I'm 50 minutes away from his 8pm show tomorrow night and will be done with work at 5. Contemplating it, but I think I have to go.. Might not get the chance to do it again.

You sure it's tonight? MeanEgirl is about to see Flogging Molly at Red Rocks as we speak....according to her FB page....

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #186: Summer Heat

Tomorrow night.. Sorry. (And Wednesday as well actually.)

I remember looking at that concert, but could only get secondary market tickets, and on top of a flight out there, couldn't swing it. Red Rocks is awesome on its own. Can only imagine a concert there.

Good Morning, Lodge!

My boss is being Queen Biatch this week. Her ex-boyfriend got engaged over the weekend. Her ex is a complete tool and I cannot stand him. She is obviously upset about this and to none of our surprise, takes it out on all of us at work. She told me that she "demands respect as I am your boss." It is hard to respect someone when they are always on their phone with personal calls, Facebook, and my favorite, balancing the checkbook on company time.

I have a skip level meeting with my boss' boss right now. She's late. Not sure what to expect. I haven't really interacted with her much since we've been part of her team. It's Tuesday, so that might be a bad sign.

Someone who demands respect has failed at commanding it.

So, I get woken up today to heavy equipment outside my window at 11:30. Apartment management sent out an email an hour or so before saying the water will be shutoff. Thanks for the advance notice.
