Good Morning Lodge.

Yeah, I can't imagine voluntarily going to Orlando in July. It's bad enough in fall or spring.

Good Morning Lodge!

Working on the longest spell of hot weather in 978 land. Another >90 HHH day. Last night at 10PM it was 87 when I walked out of work. blech.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #186: Summer Heat

Last week I spent an email to my boss' boss asking her if she would be OK with my asking other members of her team to help me out at our two-week long watch party during the Olympics. It was a 3-sentence email. My boss has told us from the start of us reporting to this person how she has told my boss about her emails, and how she likes bullet points, etc. My boss tells me she was on a plane with her boss who was checking emails and mine came through and she showed to my boss and said This is too much...." Which, whatever. I wanted to make sure she had info so she didn't respond back with a question about something. I have a skip level with her in a couple of weeks and I'm debating about bringing that up. I know she's a busy person, but seriously, is that something you want to ding people on?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #186: Summer Heat

You should have put each sentence into its own bullet point. You wouldn't have changed the content at all, only the format, but it might have tricked your 2-up boss into simply answering your email rather than complaining about it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #186: Summer Heat

Wait, I thought you retired, what is this "work" stuff?!?!?

PT- per diem- teaching CNAs. One day this month. 4 days last month. Few extra $$ here and there. Teaching one day a week at one of the local U in the Fall. Never went on an interview. They called and haunted me. When I went to what I thought was an interview I found out I was already hired and it was an orientation  I had to tell them to stop and take a breath- I hadn't agreed to anything yet.

Good Morning, Lodge!

My life for the next 2 days: Work during the day and then floor it to downtown Minneapolis for the start of the Norwex convention.

Perfect 75 degree day here in Raleigh. Too bad the temp will rise another 22 degrees. 😀

Good Morning Lodge. Dam deer was in our garden eating tomatoes last night. I chased her out 4 times and spread "animal repellent" all over to 0 effect.

Eat steak and then pee on the tomatoes. That was about the most effective thing we found. (didn't always work!)

Good Morning Lodge!

It is still bleeding hot. No central AC. However- I am not working so life is still good. Very good!

My mom has 2 of these to mostly cover (and protect) her garden. Generally worked well, but she did combine it with other methods too.

This heat is awful. I do not live in the South for a reason. Tried to get my errands out of the way early, but was still out until 1pm.
