Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

True. However, I ate out at The St. Paul grill (twice), Mannys and Oceanaire this past week. Great establishments and no shiats. That's how I roll.

Speaking of the Shiats. I just filled out my expense report. I paid for a couple of the meals. We had 19 people in our group. Appetizers, drinks, wine, dinner, dessert.
That there is a nice run of eating out!
My sister does the group/party sales at Oceanaire. If you worked with someone for a group deal it was probably B.

My niece had her grad party this evening, they hired someone who does wood fired pizza's. Dude wheeled a very cool contraption into their yard and made little round pieces of heaven. They were FANTASTIC!

Mornin' Lodge!

Gonna go get my Hazzard on with bbdl/Mrs bbdl at Volks Fest in Goodhue. They have a road rally/scavenger hunt this morning, which is tons'o'fun* and then a concert/street fest tonight on the main drag of the town. Even though it's country (Joe Diffey), it's still live music and a total blast.

*Example question from last year, when you got to a "T" in the road: go in the direction of something you'd put on your pancakes. Answer? There was a log cabin on the right. Log Cabin Syrup! You took a right. Last year's course was about 55 miles, took about 2 hours to do. You hit every back road (including "low maintenance" roads) in the area.

Good morning Lodge.

Happy birthday jimjamesak.

Work should be mellowing out for a bit.

Starting next Thursday the g family will officially begin our camping season. Next weekend we will be at Itasca state park. In all we will camp about 22 nights between next week and mid August.

Good job, you are avoiding the State Trap Meet in town again this year. We'll be up there Friday for Fishing and Saturday for shooting.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

Howdy Lodge. Doing some picking up and cleaning today. My niece texted me the other day asking if she and her sister could stay at my place the night before they leave for LA. Their flight is, like, at 6am. And she asked if I could drive them to the airport. I told her I would if I could ibut I'm out of town those days. I told her if they wanted to stay over and Uber to the airport, that would be fine. She texted back that they would and that my brother and SIL would also stay over and drive them to the airport. My SIL is a kind of a neat freak so I feel I should clean up a bit before she gets here - heh. I should clean up anyway, but now I have a reason. And a deadline.

Upper 80s + humidity = my keister heading to the lake. :)

Good afternoon, Lodge. Packing for Indianapolis today, leaving tomorrow. Since it's only 300 miles, I'm driving.

If I lived on a lake, I'd be out there getting sunburnt, too. The forecast calls for it to touch 90 here today, so we're probably looking at close to 100. The race crowd is at MIS today, and that's only 12 miles away, so I don't intend on going too far from home.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

Grey here today. We have Cirque du Soliel tickets tonight near Boston, so we're bickering about what to do about dinner.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

OMG someone else I know is going to that. It's at Suffolk Downs, right? You should stop at Assembly Row in Somerville. Some cool restaurants there.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

Back from a grad party. It was bleeding COLD! Outside party- house is in the woods. Mizzle, cool breezes. I may need a cup of tea.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

92 here, air is doing its best (which still isn't very good when all you have is a wall unit). I also miss winter.
