Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Barry Melrose is hammered and was just interviewed at the tourney. :D

I bet the boxes were marked "see how far you can throw this box," I meaannnnnn "Fragile." ;)
Nope we've had the things since November. They were going to some places in rural areas and we couldn't get any carrier to take them. Since the FAA and IATA changed what regulations they can fly under (for good reason since they can catch on fire) we couldn't send them back on ours either. Upper management finally got fed up with them and told me (a hazmat specialist) to "remove the batteries, destroy them and dispose them." So I removed the batteries (big *ers too, can see why they catch fire) and my Sup had me destroy them. I smashed 'em with a sledgehammer. It was glorious. :D

And where is the Gorram video of the hoverboard smashing???

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. :D
The looks on various coworkers faces walking by as I'm standing there with goggles on, smashing a hoverboard with a sledgehammer were priceless.

The hoverboard craze has been rather good to me. Besides this lovely episode at work my daughter won one of them back in November at the Great Alaska Shootout (hooray corporate giveaways!). We sold it for $350 and let her shop at Toys R Us with some of that cash.

Good Morning Lodge!
Bellying up to the Tie, Bye Sushi bar early :)

I am not in the mood for technology. My printer has stopped talking to my laptop. Need to reinstall. Not in the mood at all.

Then I get to create appetizers for tonight's dinner. That is more fun.

Same thing happened to me on other sites. I made the mistake of clicking the link.

A friend of mine at work sent me some Amazon links after a conversation we had, some books and CDs about which she was excited. I made the mistake of clicking on the link back when my work PC would allow me to stay logged into sites for more than four hours. It took months for me to convince Amazon that I'm not a lesbian. The site kept suggesting things for me to buy that were completely outside my wheelhouse.

I bought some of those tiny ziplock style baggies that you see pills, powder, and crystals in on TV on Amazon for a Halloween costume a few years ago. I still get recommendations from Amazon for products that are obviously targeting drug dealers.

You have to go into your purchasing and browsing history and either mark the button that reads "Do not use for future suggestions" or delete it from your browsing history. It took me a while to learn that one.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Eyeing the HHT. Unfortunately, so is Mankato.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

My team is tied with the worst team in our league wT. Could possibly be joining you at the *HT. I won't be in a good mood so fair warning.
