Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

I much prefer a mouse, but I'm actually using my laptop on my lap at home.

I have a desktop but it's more of a gaming rig.

A majority of laptops now have transitioned to 2-in-1's with touchscreen capability, similar to a tablet. Just bought a new one a couple weeks ago before coming to the boat. Still not sure how I feel about Windows 10, coming from win7, but I imagine I'll get used to it in time.

Good Morning Lodge.

Rainy day here, hope we get some good hard rain to wash off some of the junk left from the snow melting. And to fill up the ponds that are a little low.

Next door neighbor came over last night to ask if his father-in-law who is visiting from China can fish from our dock (their shore is all cattails, hard to get a line in the water). Of course he can, I just wonder how it's all going to go and if they'll eat the fish they catch (I've never eaten fish from these ponds and I've been fishing them for eleventy five years, since I was 6).

Sitting at home sick two days in a row now. Fun stuff. It'd be great if I could talk. Probably a relief for the rest of the world, now that I come to think of it.

Even a check-writer like me has a laptop. Although I still connect the mouse to it, when I use it at home.
I have never owned a desktop, always had a laptop. I use a wireless mouse all the time. When I was working I used the touch pad. Just got a Surface 3 (not the pro- that is obscenely expensive). I like it and the keyboard is very nice to type on. There are some really nice laptops for cheap right now.

Hope you feel better

I haven't used my computer in about 6 months, maybe longer. I think it is sitting in the spare bedroom.

I have to use my work laptop at work, and I just use my phone and tablet at home. There really isn't anything that you need a computer for that can't be done on a phone or laptop, so I figure I'll probably never buy a new laptop.

Then I'll just have to treat Scarlet to a martini and mookie to a beer if they show up, at a local watering hole.

I honestly feel like it's more likely to be us... We've been spoiled the last 3 NCAA trips.... Bridgeport, Worcester, Manchester... We're due for a trip.

If I'm out there depending upon timing and Lowells performance I'm going to try to hit a brewery or two.

Only 2? We have about 40 of them in the Twin Cities, probably more.

By my calcs, if everything goes chalk (not likely), you will be in St. Paul. The big question is if MN comes out of the BIG, that throws a wrench in everything.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

It's more about how much time I have time for ;)

Well, there are 4 within walking distance of the X, so that much should be easy enough:
Tin Whiskers
Great Waters
Bad Weather
Wabasha

If you decide to get on that train thing to Minneapolis, that will get you to:
Lake Monster
Burning Brothers
Bang
Surly
Urban Growler
Day Block
Town Hall
Fulton
Modist
Freehouse

If you take the train from the airport to Minneapolis:
Northbound Smokehouse
Harriet
Day Block
Modist
Fulton
Freehouse
