When NU visited Minnesota, I stayed at the Hampton Inn Downtown Minneapolis. It is walking distance of that cute lil thing they call 'Light Rail' and you could take that to the X.

Which hotel used to the Radisson? Is that the one that's now the Crowne Plaza/Intercontinental?

I was just checking airfare. Taking cost out of the equation, the last flight out of MSP Sunday night is at 7:30-ish. This is why I need to know the times. Will the regional final be early enough in the day that I can make that flight? I have a dentist appointment at 8:30am on Monday. I'd like to not change it. And before any of you ask - I'm there and paid for the ticket so if BU goes to St. Paul and loses on Saturday, I'm still going to the regional final game on Sunday. I suppose if BU isn't in that game I could leave early and bolt....but what if they are??? And what if the game goes into OT?? Oy. I should probably just change that appointment now. I have Friday the 25th blocked off as a day off but can easily change that to Monday. There is a 7:00am flight to MSP that would get me there in time for the games. My anxiety would go down considerably if the NCAA would just announce the game times.

Yes, but then I couldn't go to Mickey's Diner for breakfast. Or late night food. I'm barely going to be there 48 hours! Don't need to spend most of it on public transportation. :)

If BU goes west I hope it's to St. Paul because airfare to Cincinnati is really high. Airfare to St. Paul is high, but manageable. St. Paul is a better city and arena and I will have a better time so that justifies the cost. $200 more in airfare, plus a crap location - I hope it doesn't happen. Which means it probably will.

Good Morning Lodge.

You guys are so proactive. I haven't gotten past this weekend. Then I will look ahead.

Feeling lazy. Lil is home. Nice to have him here :)

Happy Pi Day!
3.1459, I love pi!

My friends and I will be holding our 4th annual Pi day celebration. We gather at a local park, run or walk a 3.14 mile circle and then eat pie. I love having geeky friends.

My anxiety would go down considerably if the NCAA would just announce the game times.
And you'd think for Sunday they could do that as there will only be 2 games. I'm sitting here hoping my team ends up in Cinci 'cause I can drive there. I think for attendance reasons, it is very likely they'll find a way to put Michigan there. Even so, I'd like NaSK to go and he needs to ask today to get time off if we go. Do I need a whole day off work, a half a day, just leave an hour early? I don't know. When are the games?!

I've already decided that the only way I'm going to regionals is if Tech is in St. Paul. Which, IMO, seems unlikely at this point, but still within the realm of possibility.

Jeez, thanks for rubbing it in that I HAVE NO PLANS THIS WEEKEND.

:p

What this boils down to for me is trying to determine if I need to re-schedule a dentist appointment, which I stupidly made for Monday the 28th.

The hubster put in for both the Friday and the Monday, and will give back which ever day he doesn't need.

You can rest up and save cash for the next weekend. :p

Yeah, I was trying to compile a list of what I could buy with the money I'm saving by not having to buy tickets for this weekend. :) Instead I will put that money towards wherever we go next weekend instead. And I just changed my dentist appointment on the 28th to this Thursday - yay! So now I don't have to worry about that. If BU goes to St. Paul, I can book a room for Sat/Sun and fly home Monday. This wasn't an issue for the other three locations.

Yeah... I am not liking the potential Minneapolis trip... Air fare from DCA is like 450... Then adding on hotel and the rest... Ugh

Edit: everybody else is a 6-8 hour drive. Cincinnati 8, Albany I'll stay 2 hrs away in CT or just do one overnight... Worcester similar but I'll be able to go home one night
