Well, there are 4 within walking distance of the X, so that much should be easy enough:
Tin Whiskers

Wabasha

If you decide to get on that train thing to Minneapolis, that will get you to:
Lake Monster
Burning Brothers
Bang
Surly
Urban Growler
Day Block
Town Hall

If you take the train from the airport to Minneapolis:
Northbound Smokehouse
Harriet
Day Block
Modist
Fulton
Freehouse

Is there a reason you're playing travel agent for Patman but not me or mookie?

;)

Making dinner then I head down to our annual condo association meeting. Good times. I may live tweet it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Yeah, not really any reason to send those out. You didn't like the UMN diver and this mother of two is no better looking.

well, they all look alike to you ;)

but point taken

Had a meeting today at work. Got some good news. Apparently, corporate actually took into account some feedback that was consistent across the nation, and put in a bonus system for us peons. If a building meets certain goals in a quarter, each worker in that building can get up to $200 in a cash bonus, per quarter. Only your building matters, you don't rely on other buildings. Yes, it'll be taxed all to hell, but it's something.

Looking at the current quarter (bonus thing doesn't start until Q2), yeah, we'd hit the top bonus, because we rule. That made my day a little more pleasant.

I want to keep them in a good mood before I try to defer my costs by asking to crash ;)

edit: yeah, that's hella passive aggressive... I just don't like the idea of a couple of days costing a thousand dollars minimum

  Isn't that the cost of going on vacation?
You could just ask outright

Evening. :) There are entirely too many awake patients in our unit tonight. Disruptive to my plan of being tired and watching the Bruins game while I wash people up. Instead, my patient is screaming obscenities because I won't give him beers and a cigarette. (He was extubated today.)

Ah, Florence Nightengale- if you channeled her she would have slapped him.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

I regularly hosted folks for the Final Five (mostly Techies, and MNS/not special lady friend). Even hosted GLM (who's now somewhat of a bigwig :D) back in the day. Just ask someone.

But not me. My days of hosting are over. I did my time. The last year I had about 6-7 Techies in a 1 BR apt. That was the end of it.

Tempting -- he got some aggressive chest PT on his last turn.

I think you just get to a point where it's enough. We shared a hotel at the DC FF with some of Matt's friends. We were...uh...busy during the afternoon at one point and were interrupted when they came back from sightseeing. We got our own place for Tampa. :D (Especially as this was the second year in a row in which sharing a room had become an inconvenience for fun)

There is a point. I had done it 3-4 years or so, and not just hosted 1-2 people. It was a gathering, so to speak. Schedules went out the door, etc. Had enough. No ill will, but it was time to stop. Frankly, if you're the host, you have a ton of responsibility being a tour guide/chauffeur. ;)

Agreed - I find it very stressful to host.

UAA's Womens Basketball team on to the Elite Eight! They won the West Regional tonight running through UC San Diego.

At least something at UAA is going right.
I should take a look at that, figure out when UAA and GVSU would meet in that.

Pectoralis Minor for some fun. Subscapularis would hurt like the dickens, but if they're being fidgety, you probably couldn't access it.
