Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #182: Snow!

I don't think I have heard a new beaver joke in like 20 years. ;)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say *ht.

There is no limb. That game is dunzo.

And the joke is more a personal HEYOHHHHHHHHHH shot. I'll let mel decide whether she should post it here. :)

Fishing season started a little early this year. Not by much, but still. (I love college hockey thread on D1 side). Caught a beauty. :)

Good Morning, Lodge!

Mr's gig went well last night. Minus the car accident that took place outside. The scary part is that I had to move the car and I drove past an intersection a minute earlier. Parked the car and was walking back and saw a SUV on top of a Prius at the same intersection.

Good Morning from my office, Lodge.

Yesterday someone set up my "Varidesk." Now trying to get used to working while standing. I think I need a wrist pad for that as the angle is different. Slos just tried to empty some e-mails out of my personal email box and deleted all. Oops.

rolled out the grill, found the lighter fluid, and bbq'd some chops and steaks. then lifted the top and the kids are toasting marshmellows.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #182: Snow!

Bemidji was fun. Finally found a bar that served food postgame. For some reason there is only one in the entire town. It happened that this bar didn't just serve food, their food was out of this world good. I had pretty easily the best onion rings I've ever tasted, and probably a top 5 burger of my life. Add that to a few decent craft beer options, and a pretty cool atmosphere and I'd say we all had a great time.

Another thing to note, BSU fans and the people of Bemidji are really pretty great. Some places you go to you always run into token a-holes, and have to deal with idiots. Didn't have any of that in Bemidji. Fans were very friendly, several came up and made conversation with us at the game and at the bar after, all of them seemed very nice.

Pretty sure this weekend cemented the fact that my wife and I will be trying to make Bemidji a regular road trip each year, as opposed to Mankato.

Did they have more than two taxis? :D

When we were there in 2008, that's all they had, and we were smart enough to book them before the bar crowd could, which REALLY p*ed off the locals. :D

Corner Bar?

The next time you are in town and if you are looking for the best pizza ever..... make it a point to eat at Dave's Pizza.
