We watched that for a bit but then the men of my family settled on the 3 stooges. Ugh. I don't think I have ever met a female enamored with the 3 stooges. I am not going to be the first

Rene Russo, Lethal Weapon 4.

Brother was too tired to stay up, so headed home. Can't blame him, has a busy life. Rolling Stones live in '71 on the public tv (basically PBS under a different name; TPT for the locals) will do. HNY!

Young Frankenstein is on the 9-3 (Movies!) channel. Madeleine Kahn just met Igor.

Channel surfing, ended up on a showing of the New York Philharmonic performance on PBS. That orchestra would be mookie's little slice of paradise. I'm thinking a Dragon Mother or two might have been involved in that.

Mookie just returned from a hall couple blocks over where his "locals" brought in the new year. Fun dancing where Mookie was the tallest and got a fine view of the dragon mothers

Morning.

I was asleep by 9:30 pm. Glad I didn't bother watching the MSU/Bama game. That sounded boring and ugly in recap.

Might go see the H8tful 8 today. The wife seemed interested in seeing it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Good afternoon Lodge.

I hope everyone had a fun and safe NYE.

Last nights dinner was fantastic. About 20 people showed up. We cooked via smoker a prime rib and a turkey, mac and cheese( a home made variety and even though it sounds wierd it was great) and walleye. And then all sorts of other things on the side.

I'm sure my invite was lost in the mail. Too bad. ;)

We had 10 people over for a late lasagne dinner. Was very good and it helps that Byerly's (local MSP grocery chain) makes & sells really good Italian sausage that we used.

Highlight of my weekend.......... I took the little g's and my nieces for a walk in the woods. We were out for a while and the kids started to get cold. We gathered a bunch of dead wood and we made a huge fire. Once the fire was roaring we kicked back and enjoyed some hot chocolate.

The kids loved it and they had a blast. Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impact.

HNY Lodge!

Funny, same thing happened to mine. Can't trust the USPS these days.;)

I joined LA Fitness, primarily to be able to swim there a few times a week. Went in this morning for a "Fitness Assessment" which turned out to be an hour long sales pitch for thousands of $ of personal trainer sessions. According to this guy it's impossible for a slub like me to safely use the equipment there without a trainer or to progress towards fitness goals without constant oversight by said trainer. Once I made it clear I wasn't signing up for 6 months at $440-$660/month, he just dismissed me.

I don't think I've ever heard anything good about those guys, from my gym-going friends.

You'll never guess what my girlfriend got me for our anniversary. ;)

Mom cooked prime rib today as well. got it a little overdone, but still pretty good dinner today.
