Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Good to read that people's holidays went fairly well. (I'm sorry to read about the seizure, gmann; that must be incredibly difficult :( )

Twister is a hotly contested movie in our household as I love it for it's ridiculousness (I, too, enjoy PSH in it immensely) and tcbg hates it due to his intense dislike of Bill Paxton (only movie he will tolerate Paxton in is Tombstone ... because he dies).

Best of luck, goldy with the new gig. Good luck, JF with the interview process.

Bill Paxton is one of two actors to be killed by an Alien, a Predator, and a Terminator.

Good Morning Lodge.

Getting ready to head to the new office for the first time today. Hope it's a fun place with interesting projects. I only have 2-7 years left hope this is my last move.

Good morning Lodge.

Good luck goldy!

Getting ready for the feeding frenzy and then it's back home to make carmel rolls for breakfast.

Went and watched Star Wars last night. I liked it. I have a funny feeling that this movie will not be the last one. Could just be me though. ;)

Good morning Lodge. Just made a really good breakfast...my brother is here with me for a few days. Made eggs and sausage and coffee and toast. Tasty. Going to see my goddaughter this afternoon. The last of the gift swapping. It's also her birthday on January 7th, so I need to get a card before I head out.

You guys know about the Canada Goose line of outerwear? Super warm jackets but ridiculously expensive. But, I got a check for all my flexible spending account money and I think I want to treat myself. They sell them at Bloomingdales and I will be close by there so I will go try one on.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Slow day at work. We are just hanging out joking around still snacking on food leftover from the retirement party.

Thank god for HVAC repair peoples. Had a capacitor go bad on me yesterday, just got it replaced. Luckily it went out in December and not July, though... It started getting pretty toasty and it's "only" low 80's today.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Who is the other?

There is some random fact about Bill Paxton being in a ridiculous amount of the highest grossing movies of all time. Like, more than any other "big name" actor.

Evening, folks. Work is way too slow for this time of year (quarter end, year end). Not complaining. It's rather odd, though.

Edit:

As an Actor in movies:

$1,879,465,133

HHT.

*work table. My SASS is screwed up. again. Really. Had. Enough.

Is it just me or does anybody else read that as Stars And Stripes Speedo? ;)

Girlfriend and I celebrating our one year anniversary tomorrow. It was actually today but just going to be easier for us to get together tomorrow. Going for massages, lunch in AA, and then a party over at her friends place.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Evening/morning, Lodgers.
Not feeling it at work tonight - would rather be home, cuddled up and either sleeping or reading. Think I just need some decompression time following the holiday season. We're due to go to Boston on Saturday with my good friend and her husband and kid - visiting the Aquarium (9am to avoid the crowds) and then Asian food to be agreed upon later (she suggested Korean, I'm hoping for Thai). Sunday though - pile day. I'm not moving!
