Morning, Ralph! :)

I must say it brightens my morning to see you and Mark post because that means that the end of my shift is coming...!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

They just got married -- so uh, it was steamy. Which I was not prepared for since I was reading at work. (Book 1, obviously).

Good evening, Lodge. I got floated tonight! :o This means that when I reported for work, I was sent to another unit instead of working in my regular unit. I'm really out of my element. Makes me uncomfortable. Fortunately, I think we only have to float every 6 months.

Edit -- topically, I had to give an enema this evening. I miss my unit.
That is one of the best parts! Where they describe they are is around where my family lived. You most def haven't gotten to the parts that will take you aback yet.

I hated floating. Could never understand the people who liked it. Scared me to death.

25 days.

Good morning.....the sun might be coming up here in Capital City, MN; which is a significant development following yesterday's noon NFL playoff game.

Happy Monday kids. Sunny and cold here in 617-ville. Got to the T station and a train was waiting. It was kind of full, so I took my time to walk all the way down to my place on the platform assuming that train would close its doors and leave before I got to my position. It didn't. I decided to get on it even though I'd probably have to stand and lo and behold, there was a seat! Nice way to start my morning. When I got to my station, my favorite T performer was performing. I decided that if I win Powerball, I'm going to bankroll his career.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. I'm staying on my night schedule even though I'm not working. Once I put my husband to bed, I foresee several hours spent reading with hot chocolate...SO EXCITED!!
As it turns out, I also hate floating. I had never done it before and it's a gray area about whether or not I was qualified to do so. I dislike feeling out of my element and the unit to which I floated has a bad reputation. Needless to say, I'm very happy to be back home in my unit tonight and providing care for patients in a better environment.

SO happy that you have so few days left - I cannot believe how quickly the time went by!

goldy - pretty sure no one in nursing is into that. I'm not good at it (it's definitely an art). Even with the assistive device I had last night, I was still up to my elbows in misery (literally). It was not a great start to the shift and it was indicative of the rest of the night.

Snowy morning commute today. Reminds me that my tires suck in winter.

Oh well, warm up coming Thursday!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Good Morning, Lodge!

We were short handed at work yesterday. Neither bindery person showed up. One had 3/2 flu, the other needed a new car battery. With only 3 of us in the office, we got our work and their work done. Shows how useful they are in the bindery.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

For a second I was going to ask what 3/2 flu meant. Then I remembered it's MN and figured it out. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Good Morning Lodge.

Some black ice out there this morning. On a section of highway that is in the middle of a 3 year construction project (100 north at Hyw 7 for the locals) there are 3 lanes but it's narrow and with jersey walls on both sides, someone must have changed lanes too fast. In right lane turned about 120 degrees from correct direction and nose into the jersey wall. Must have happened seconds before I got to it. Glad I got past before the back-up started.
