It was a rough place, the seediest dive on the wharf. Populated with every reject and cutthroat from Bombay to Calcutta.
It's worse than Detroit.

Might as well add my favorite scene from the 2 movies:

Witness: Striker was the squadron leader. He brought us in real low. But he couldn't handle it.
Prosecutor: Buddy couldn't handle it? Was Buddy one of your crew?
Witness: Right. Buddy was the bombardier. But it was Striker who couldn't handle it, and he went to pieces.
Prosecutor: *Andy* went to pieces?
Witness: No. Andy was the navigator. He was all right. Buddy went to pieces. It was awful how he came unglued.
Prosecutor: *Howie* came unglued?
Witness: Oh, no. Howie was a rock, the best tailgunner in the outfit. Buddy came unglued.
Prosecutor: And he bailed out?
Witness: No. Andy hung tough. Buddy bailed out. How he survived, it was a miracle.
Prosecutor: Then Howie survived?
Witness: No, 'fraid not. We lost Howie the next day.

Oh. I watched that more than a few times. Obviously not enough to follow along. :o

Good morning everyone. Choosing to have a good day.

I've long said that remembering dialogue from movies is definitely a male thing.

Morning Lodge. Heading to Charlotte, NC this morning. Waiting for my cab.

Good Morning Lodge. I don't remember much movie dialog.

Morning Lodge. Heading to Charlotte, NC this morning. Waiting for my cab.
That's a hella long cab ride, I'd like to see that bill.

I got a copy of a roster of my high school graduating class sent to me, there are 811 entries, but some are duplicates. We had 12 Andersons and one Andersen and 20 Johnsons. Wait, one of the Johnsons lives a block from me, how did I not know that?

ETA: Holy ****! I graduated with THAT Mark Johnson???? Again, how did I not know that?
