Mavsy. I agree with all the above. I spent a pretty penny on official packages for the Detroit/Toronto winter classic for my dad and I to go. He's a leafs fan, I'm a wings fan. There was no hesitation for me to pull the trigger, it's the memories and who knows when the next opportunity could come up.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

So I have the opportunity to spend time around the holidays in lovely St. Louis, MO.:(

Our office there has a project in a plant that makes "aluminum bottles" for Anheuser-Busch. We are the design-build contractor and they want to do pre-start-up during the holiday shut-down. I am the least busy right now, so I'm elected to go help. That office is legendary for poor planning and disorganization so it promises to be a cluster*. I expect to show up and then everyone will try to figure out what I should do and half a day or more will be wasted figuring that out. At least they are not expecting me to stay over the weekend, although the team is working 6-10s.

2005 All Star Game and 2006 World Series. WS tix were $190/per, and the ASG was $605 for two tix for everything. My two 2006 postseason ticket packages were just under $2600.

I regret none of it. Those were two of the biggest items on my bucket list. The Super Bowl is still on that list.

I've had ha-ha-only-serious thoughts about going to WrestleMania in Dallas this year. Especially if it's Undertaker's retirement match.

Royal Rumble is also on the list.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

Isn't it more of an appearance than a match when you're talking about WrestleMania?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

Here in Philadelphia for the Team USA awards. My boss is here, as is her boss. Who is still relatively knew to all of this. Thinking I won't be able to do too much of my awards show stalking.

When I checked in online last night, I got my boarding pass via email and noticed I got my return flight one as well. Is that because the flights are less than 24 hours apart? Hmmm. Off to go get glammed up. Well, not too much.

I paid way too much for the first Wild home game, too. So worth it.

Work stunk again. Slow...slow...ALL THE ORDERS NOW!!!! Back is twitching a little, gonna have to watch it the next day or so. Today was my Friday so that helps. Gonna have one of my cellared beers tonight; just have to figure out which one.....

I'd love to go to a World Cup but the next two hosts have put that on the "no *ing way" backburner.

Although if UAA makes a Frozen Four I'm going. By hook or by crook I'm going.

Good Evening, Lodge!

Apparently, as I work with the 3 main stores on small items, I have been given the task to work on the circulars and signage for the stores. This should be a fun project.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

Oh yeah, it's Governor's Cup weekend. So either I'm gonna really happy or super *ed off.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

On night 3 of 3 and I am f-ing wired! Wasn't feeling it yesterday, but today am on the ball like a bunny on crack. Have my shopping spreadsheet for tomorrow. Figure I will give report and leave the hospital around 8, stop in at hubby's work to kiss him hello, and then hit the malls with my spreadsheet when they open at 9am. Expecting a crash time on the couch at about noon and then off to hockey at 730pm in Durham.

Hope I am like that tomorrow. Back still rawring at me despite a decent beer during the Vikes game. I need to get stuff done tomorrow.

I will likely stop in the hot tub before I take a nap. I have a persistent pain right in the center of my right shoulder blade. It definitely is aggravated by rolling people back and forth and dragging them up the beds at work. It's transient as well - for example, I had quite a bit of pain last night, none tonight. Still, I find the hot tub helpful.

Fantastic first night in NY, got together with one of the main groups of friends from college.. really, our first time together since graduation. Kinda lazy day tomorrow before rehearsal/dinner and then more shenanigans I'm sure.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

It's policy review season at work. So long, good handle time. See you again in February. I really am thankful that these people don't call in but once a year, though. Some real bright ones.
