Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and remembering being there two years ago. Good times. Need to get off the couch, jump in the shower and go to my folks to pick them up to go to my cousin's house. Enjoy your day everyone!!

I thought my sister moving out would mellow her...she's already had 3 serious screaming fits and its only been slightly over an hour.

She's layingon the floor watching something on her phone... dog gets between her and phone... dog sits down half an inch from her face...I taketwo pictures because I thought it was funny.

She then goes nuclear about how she hates having her picture taken and demands I delete the photos... this is leads to a standoff where I tell her to take a flying leap... which then my parents ask for me to delete... I tell them no... I acquiese... thank god for the iCloud.

Stupid and crazy... did I not cooperate... yeah... so what.

Patman, do you revert to a 12 year old child at your parents house, the same way your sister does? Kinda seems that way with the whole photo deletion thing.

I believe that was The Sicatoka, and I thought he officially retired that theme of threads quite a while back...

It wasn't The Sicatoka, but I can't remember who it was. Funny, I was just thinking about that thread a couple days ago.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

Made it to Milwaukee in one piece. At least the 2 babies waited until after the flight to start crying. Now to continue the gluttony of eating and drinking on this National Fat Man Day.

Meh. I stopped at the local Cub on the way home for a couple things I had forgotten and a couple Mrs had forgotten. Lot was pretty full but it wasn't too bad in the store. Picked up my items and went to the 15 items line and got out quick (one lady in front of me who did it right - no checks). Traffic getting there was worse.

Jr was in GEs hood today as he directs traffic for Thanksgiving Meals on Wheels out of Cretin. Down a bit from last year as they only delivered 17,000 meals today, last year was closer to 20K. One of Mrs' clients is one of the founders of the effort - started 46 years ago out of the kitchen of the other founder when both were at STA.

I try not to... but yes, its more a matter of the "how". I knew I wouldn't necessarily come across as a winner... but I don't see how I should be put into a spot for taking a photo.

edit: I didn't want to cross my parents... usually I stay calm... but I do want to poke the bear so very badly... but that usually occurs after the fact.... which isn't great... it just is. I wasn't trying to poke her when I took the photo... I thought it was cute and funny... I just want somebody sane to step in and tell her she's out of line.

Funny thing is I stopped at her place yesterday to pick up the turkey and she was very normal.

Both mine worked that event while in HS. Really amazing.

Hi Lodge. Home after spending the day at my cousin's. While in the shower this morning, I pulled something in my back, or side, or something. Pretty much paralyzed me with pain for a good 30 seconds. I did manage to finish, get dressed and drive to pick my parents up but I'm still in some pain. I have a heating pad on it now and just took 4 Advils. I hope it loosens up a bit as I have a 4 hour bus ride tomorrow. Should be a blast. The good news is....The Godfather is on!! And The Godfather 2 starts later!! A good reason to sit still on the couch.

If it tightens up, movement is key, along with the heat. Take a short walk or at least stretch, even if it hurts. Nothing too strenuous, but non-movement could make it take much longer to heal. Get better!
