Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

coming out of a very long retirement for something very important:

One of USCHO's former posters has begun raising money to fight cancer. Certainly, this is a disease that touches nearly everyone in one way or another. I'm gettign the word out and asking everyone to donate. I know a lot of people on here have dealt with this; let's do something about it.

Dang, here I thought you were coming back to celebrate the new Fighting Hawks name!

Sitting at the gate here in Orlando waiting for my flight home. So many little kids. Two babies. At least right now. More to come I'm sure.

Morning, so ready for tonight to be over. Filled in my daily planner for my next few days off.

Good Morning Lodge.

To and from Orlando is the one flight I'd expect kids on. Not that it makes it any better for Scarlet.
Back when my son was about 7 I happened to have a Gold Level on then Northwest and we were flying back from Orlando. They called me up for an upgrade to first as coach was overbooked. They were a little skeptical at first but did upgrade all 3 of us. For a while my son thought we should always be in first class.

I think fall has finally arrived as the wind chill is about 18 here with air temp in the low 30s and 30+ wind speed.

You know what's underrated? Being in bed. It's awesome. I'm so comfortable.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

I am heading to Milwaukee tomorrow and look at the forecast. Snow. Measurable snow. I am hoping the low tracks south so there is not much snow. I am going down there for a craft fair. If it snows, people won't go out, but if they do, they probably won't spend much.

Either way, beer.

:rage: Just had the bait and switch pulled on me at work. Worked 12 hours Monday when I was supposed to work 4 and just got a text that I should work 12 tonight instead of 4 since they have a lot of devices (adjuncts keeping people alive) and are busy. How do you say "no" knowing your coworkers will be short staffed or are reliant if the staffing office to float them an other nurse who may not know the unit as well and the impact that could potentially have on a person's life?

That's why I don't work a job like yours. Cause I would say no .

That sucks.
