OK, I'll remember and be sure to call it Alex so no one mistakes me for a local.
The Shooting Park is very impressive and they did a great job of accommodating the large number of people attending. It seemed a little overwhelming but there was plenty of parking and bathrooms (porta potties), the two keys for such an event.
The poor Holiday Inn folks were a bit overwhelmed. Booked solid for 6 days straight with nearly every booking being for just one night meant near total turnover every day. I'm sure it was a big boost for Target, Walmart, Perkins, etc. all clustered near 29/I94. Not sure how much it impacted other businesses in town.
For future reference.....locals call it Alec. Non locals call it Alex. Don't know why. It is what is is.
