Morning. Should be hot and possibly rainy today.

Wife is dragging me to Jurassic World movie.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

Howdy Lodge. Currently in the ER with Dad, been here since 1am. Woke up with a pain. He was scared and ****ed, didn't know what it was. Being only three days out from a hospital stay, my mom and I brought him here. Had a bunch of tests and his cardiologist came. Told him the pain isn't related to his angioplasty. Stents are all wide open and blood flowing. All his numbers are where they're supposed to be, which is great. I just worry how this is affecting him mentally. He actually seemed to have turned a corner yesterday. They are sending him home, just waiting for all that to happen. I did go back to my parents place around 5am to sleep for a couple of hours.

This whole situation sucks but it's made worse by all this waiting and lack of communication. Some dude just came in to admit him. I told him he was officially admitted about 4am, just waiting for a room but now the cardiologist said he was good to go. He said no one signed paperwork. Now no need. Waiting on a "hospitalist" to deal with his discharge.

Good Morning Lodge. At the office today to work a few hours since I will be out Monday to go to gmann's town to watch kids shoot guns.

Huh, I didn't know the Fairview system had hospitals in MA too.

Sorry Scarlet, it sounds like the kind of treatment one expects at a particular chain of hospitals in our area (although my last stay there was better than the usual). Hope things keep improving for your dad.

So gmann, any recommendations for dining in Alex?

Naturally, he'll be suggesting the local campground, starting a fire and cooking your own meals.

Which I can certainly do if it has a grill at waist height, not on the ground, and I don't need to sleep in the tent.

BTW, on the way up to BWCA, by Lake Vermillion and the turn off to the Casino, there is a gas station/bait shop/convenience store that now has a Tim Horton's Doughnut shop attached!

Zorbaz if your lookin for "at the lake bar food".
New place pike and pint. Haven't been there but I have heard good stuff.
I like doolittles.
Mexican place called Mi Mexico. Average.
The depot has good pizza.
Ruby red eyed grill. Average.
Arrow wood. Pasta bar and a decent restaurant. We ate at the deck bar overlooking the lake last night. Again, typical bar food type stuff.

I now have a pipe wrench. This may be more fun for beating someone than a shovel.

He did, les, thanks. Well, he didn't sleep, but that was because he wound up sleeping most of the day and didn't take the Ativan we asked him to do so he could sleep at night and be awake for the day today. I hope we can take him outside for a bit today. I'm going home today. I'm a little anxious about.

Morning, Lodge! Fun day yesterday. Finished last in the rally. Did not know that bridges had numbers. :( Had to double back and that mileage cost us.

BUT last place won tickets to the concert. So, kind of a win. Also saw a guy do a minnow shot (exactly what it sounds like) at the bar. And found a Jamaican bar in Hager City WI. Like, full on reggae Carribbean ay mon. It was interesting.

I did one back in college - a minnow beer anyway.

Other than slight guilt for the minnow drowning in my beer, was no big deal.

The bar (in Whitewater, WI) had an ongoing promo where you pay $5 and get the minnow beer and a t-shirt that celebrated your accomplishment.

Accomplishment might not be the right word for drinking a minnow anything.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

Good morning Lodge.

For those of you keeping score from home.......g doesn't like venison. Camping dinners usually consist of something grilled. Typically burgers or steaks.

Granted, I do use a tent while camping but the older I get the more fair weather camper I have become. Mrs. g and I have been contemplating getting a camper but I cannot justify one. Yet.

Goldy.......I hope you are enjoying Alec. ;)

Yeah, you got a t-shirt here, too. bbdl offered me $20 to do it, but no way was I doing that.

If any MN/WI somewhat close like town festivals, I do recommend the Goodhue Volksfest. I know I'm going back next year. This was my first year, and I know I'm going back next year.

There is a bar in my neck of the woods that does the same. "Shoot the minnow" pay for a shot and get a t shirt.
