Morning.

Glad we didn't end up leaving town this weekend. I've felt like crap the last 2 days. A bit of summer cold is my amateur diagnosis. My head feels like it weighs 500 lbs.

I'm having so much fun this weekend. :rolleyes: I was assigned to perform BCP testing - if a server fails then we switch to a backup, that's basically the tests we're doing this weekend for those unfamiliar. The tests were also time to be combined with testing an upgrade to a server. It wouldn't be so bad except that two of the four apps assigned to me aren't connecting because a third app used to control access rights isn't working. That's exactly how I wanted my Sunday to go. Saturdays test were fine, but Sunday is shaping up to be tSuck.

Birth Control Pill testing- Are they finally getting around to that? THey have been promising one for boys since I was in undergrad....

Heading to the family's today. Mom's 68th orbit day. Still doesn't have a gray hair on her head. Unfortunately, I take after my dad, and am starting the "salt-n-pepper" phase. :o

Not as sore as I thought I'd be, after the Pedal Pub. I fear the 2-day Set-In, which was the case in the past when I played boot hockey. If THAT happens...tomorrow will be a long day.

Chilly and dreary for weather. This is August, dammit. I want warmth.
 
Drove to Hana and back yesterday. Longest 58 mile drive on paved roads around. Going to the Old Lahina Luau tonight if it doesn't get rained out.

Pedal pub was fun, won't do it again.

Somehow when we got home yesterday it was 9:30PM. Felt like 2:00 in the morning. Blasmed.

I sweated out what I drank, so I was fresh at Surly, although I only had one beer on the actual Pedal Pub.

So, my bro brought the woman over to meet the parents today. It was good. I think it's still the small-talk, not asking a lot of questions period from the family. Pretty sure the nieces realize it's a bf-gf thing, but they aren't raising any issues, as sometimes is the case in a situation like this. That's obviously a good thing. I still chuckle that my bro (2 years younger) is dating a woman that is 3 years older than I am. And she's a grandma. :D

My brother is nine years older than me and his wife is a year younger than me. When I still young, he would give me crap about how I was too young to take serious, lasting until just a year or so before he met his wife. It causes me to chuckle, but I've never said word one of it to his wife. Something tells me she wouldn't appreciate the story.

I've never dated a woman younger than me. Ever. My most recent ex was the closest, at 3 months older. Otherwise it's been measured in years, the range being 2-5 years older. Wasn't on purpose, just happened to end up that way.

My wife is 8 years younger than me. Before her I had always dated older women.

I've been up and down, older by about 3 years and younger by 6. (I was going to say 'I've gone both ways' because of how you ended your post, then had to check it because I realized where that would go around here.)
