Stormy weather is popping up all around 320ville.

We're supposed to get it in CitySlickersville tomorrow. I can only hope.

And while I wasn't a stoner...did see a 5'5" skinny-arse male cook do a 5 gallon gravity bong (IIRC it was formerly some sort of grease containter) in back of the kitchen, during a shift. I was amazed he still functioned.

We used to have the whipped creams with nitrous for the deep fried (:D) ice cream at the Mexi place that I worked. Esteban's for you Minnys who might remember it.

They were often flat after the cooks (and some of us wait staff) got to them.

Hell, I'm a Deadhead today coz I became best buds with a cook who took me to my first show.

Also - the cooks were experts at making a pipe out of tin foil. :D

Foil is easy. Not that I did it, but had more than a few friends that partook.

Well... I never mastered it although my need was never high as I always had a pipe...

The best was the Y joint that a cook made at his place once. Not sure how all of the papers fit together, but it was essentially a "Y" out of 3 joints. You lit both ends of the Y. By the time you were down to the stem...

Yeah... it ****ed you up...

Familiar with the Y. Had a college roommate check into Hazelden (sp?) for the MJ.

Good Morning Lodge.

Asked Jr if he was ready. "Ready for what?" "Church." "It's not Sunday!" Umm, yeah it is....

OK, I went to college late 70's, pot heaven, and I never heard of that.

I had no idea what it was until he made it. He, obviously, was beyond stoned for the rest of the shift.

No storms in my area. All were north of me, or apparently in LWB's area. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #178: Oh, mookie's dreams...

I worked restaurant all 7 years (:D) of college.

My nephew graduated high school with almost enough credits to be a sophomore in college. He went to UW Stout, and they have (had?) a program where they give students a laptop every two years. With each laptop came a new backpack. He told me all this back when he was in school, so I knew all of this...

When he was moving last year, leaving WI to come back to MN, my brother and I were the only two around to help him from our side of the family. We were loading the moving truck at his wife's grandparent's place, I saw two backpacks together. I asked him why he had two of the exact same backpacks. He responds to me, "I have three of them, actually. The school gives you a new bag with every computer they issue." Without missing a beat I respond, "And you were there long enough to get THREE?" It was at that point his father-in-law realized what was happening and it was game on. That kid took so much sh** for the rest of the day that when he dropped me off at the end of the day at his dad's place he told me fu** off, shaking his head at me. I just smiled and waved in reply. His dad just laughed and laughed. :D

Have fun!

Will your old bones be able to handle the long flights? Ocean crossings are the worst on legs and back.

I hope so. I have an inflatable lumbar pillow and I will try to get up and move whenever I am allowed to. And ibuprofen.

We paid the extra $29 on the flight home from Japan for more leg room seats. That way I could stand at my seat and not need to wake the person on the aisle.
