Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #178: Oh, mookie's dreams...

He very emphatically told me it it's just HR trying to be fair across the board for new hires. Whatever, I'm not going to worry about it. Not the first time my back has been against a wall.

I only miss a day or two a year, and it's never due to illness; it's due to my back issues. I agree it is HR making it "fair" across the board. My bosses know that unless I'm on my deathbed, I'm gonna work. HR does NOT want to make it seem like favoritism by allowing exceptions.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #178: Oh, mookie's dreams...

I'm usually the death bed type as well, but if I can't stay on the phone for more than 15-20 minutes and have to transfer some callers because I have to sprint to the restroom what the hell is the point of my being there? I will be from now on, no doubt.

Again, it is all because I'm in my first year. I've noticed people that have been there for two or three years unexpectedly ditch for absolutely ridiculous reasons and they get nothing as far as consequences. I'll never be one of them, and they'll see that eventually.

That's the spirit! Lazy people pi* me off.

Good Morning Lodge. Today starts off a very busy year. It's our kick off for our internal employee program leading up to the Olympics next summer. Months and months of planning and it's finally here. We have a big launch event today here and then the road trip starts next week. Three athletes today, lots of swag, a smoothie station....craziness. I was at the office till 8:30 with set up. Need to head back now to finalize everything else. Fingers crossed we have no bad things happen!!

Good Morning Lodge.

Started PT for my other knee (not the one above the new ankle) last night. Hopefully it'll help, the band definitely helps. If you watch any NBA, many of the players have these narrow bands just below the knee, that's what I have. It changes the mechanics of the tendon below the kneecap and helps reduce the stress on the tendon.

Good luck Scarlet! My new PT is going to Boston next week sometime for a Sox game and sightseeing.

You should give out jars of brownish green poop water for swag.

Morning Lodge.

I'm headed to Lewis' neighborhood in a couple of weeks for work. I get to go with my least favorite co-worker! It should be interesting.

Must try to look at it positively.

My midyear assessment sucked. Only because of these darn bowel issues I've been having though, and they have less than a year to go off of. They aren't convinced I'm completely dependable. Ah well. They'll see.

Maybe HR will try to turn you into a Depends-able employee instead.

Picked a great time to come. Weather just broke.

Electronics are SATAN and no amount of chocolate, cookies or frosting is rescuing me for the next few weeks. UGH!

I have 6 different 1 hour meetings, all on the same project today. Today is going to suck. Why we need 6 different meetings to discuss the same project, I couldn't begin to explain.

I think whomever called the meetings needs to explain it, get them on here. You're a bigwig now, you should tell everyone to come to the first meeting and cover it all in one.
