Good morning a Lodge. At my hair salon getting my roots dyed and my hair cut. And I am somehow coming down with a cold. Yesterday we had our department outing at Kimball Farm and I think I must've caught something from a kid there. Just what I need as I begin all my travel.
Was the kid crying?

I'm sure at some point he/she was! I was on the bumper boats. I bet I used the boat of kid who had a cold. D@mmit.

Met up with MNS, bbdl/wife, soh/Vera, MEg/Biddy, and Armadillo at a local watering hole. Good times. They had a giant pretzel, and when I say giant, I mean GIANT. 13" in diameter, and thick. Darn tasty, too. Definitely will order it again on the next visit.

Burnt up the motor on the dishwasher today. It was ****ty to begin with. Going to wait until Menards 11% off sale starts on Sunday and go get a new one. Going to get a nice stainless steel model so it will work in the new kitchen when we renovate.

Ours has been making some funny noises lately. I just might be shopping for one of them myself.

This Adulting thing is way overrated.

Good Morning, Lodge!

I was going to do a craft fair today, but I only found out about it on Wednesday. I decided not to as the fact that I have not had a weekend with nothing to do for awhile.

Afternoon Lodge.

The cat we're sitting is a brat. And I think the boys in the house have been sneaking him food cause he thinks he's starving now with just he is supposed to get.

So someone used my corporate credit card back in June to charge a hotel in Philadelphia back in late June. Just called the credit card company and they're overnighting a new card out tomorrow. Except I'm traveling tomorrow. Going to check online tonight and print my boarding pass but when I go to drop off luggage and pick up my rental car I need to use my personal card. Oh, and pay for my hotel. What an enormous pain!!

Renewed my lease today (it actually renews in Oct, I just got the signing done to get it out of the way). Saw that I could upgrade my apt with new countertops/stainless steel appliances/etc....for an "additional cost of $90/month." So basically a 10% increase in rent. Heh, nope. I'll just wait until my appliances die and get new ones for free. Hopefully the "frozen rent" policy they have for 10+ year residents is still in place, then I'd really win out on that deal.

Likely just get one of the old ones they pulled out of one of the other apartments.

Nope. They toss those. Dunno how much you've been lurking, but I got a new A/C a couple weeks ago when mine finally died. It's really nice: remote control, digital readout, thermostat/thermometer display on the remote (so even if A/C is off, the remote displays the apt's temperature), etc.

How's the married life treating you?

Brewed our first two batches of beer this afternoon, and got a new dishwasher installed.

I read most posts, just don't post because I have nothing current to add.

I just would be surprised if your refrigerator breaks to have it replaced with one that works "perfectly" fine from a unit they are upgrading.

New appliances won't fix that using the oven sets off the smoke detector in your apartment.

Just packing because we are moving to a new apartment at the end of the month.

Nice on the moving. I agree on the design of the apt. Doesn't bother me, I've adapted. And I'm pretty sure that by the time my fridge conks out, they won't have any old ones left. Apparently, the upgrades are a popular thing.

They have great food and lots of cool options (to go with the fries and brats). I will go back there again to try it again.

That was my 4th time there, although only 3rd time eating (picked up the brats for ShirtlessGuy's housewarming from there). I really like the place. Semi-cheap meal, good hangout spot.
