Good Morning Lodge.

gmann - "when's the puppy coming daddy?" Are you getting tired of that question yet?;)

Even though this is meant to be an explanation, I might be more confused now than before. :p

Now I don't know what IEEE or WLAN are...but don't worry, I don't need to know. If my computer doesn't work either someone fixes it for me, or I buy a new one.

Geez... An engineer who hasn't heard of IEEE? I mean, I'm fairly sure you're mechanical engineering but IEEE is a major organization and they set a lot of standards

My thought too. Especially given that the engines he works on spin a generator that IEEE must be involved in in some way.

was awfully tempting to turn the heat back on last night.

gmann, remember to keep the trash locked up. Guess last night some little stinker here got into some tinfoil and this morning she threw some of it up, in my bed. Not the wakeup anybody wants.

I work on engines, I couldn't care less about the generators.

Gorgeous day here. Started the day with delicious biscuits and gravy from a local place that does chuckwagon bbq. Hopefully the weather remains pristine for my team's first softball game of the season tonight.

Either have I, if it isn't ASTM or SAE I could care less, now the software guys downstairs might say something totally different.

We just had a department team building event for lunch. It was a game of Pictionary played, three departments that all report up through my manager's boss all pitted against each other. My department won. We won by a lot. Because we're just that good.

I deal with a bunch of them...ISO, ASTM, SAE, ANSI, NFPA, EPA...so many acronyms. The one that was mentioned earlier? Never seen it before.

Good Morning Lodge.

Getting the pup 5/23. Pup currently resides about 90 minutes SW of Sioux Falls. Kids have been pretty good about it. The 5 to 6 hour drive might be a different story.

For those of you keeping score from home. I used to fly 2 to 5 days a week and that lasted about 6 years. I might be lucky to fly once a year these days.

I hate acronyms at work. The "worst" one: STD. Short-term disability. Do they even think these things through?

And gonna have to talk to the Boss about our shuttle driver. The guy is worthless. Can't accept criticism, acts unprofessionally when criticized, and is a general f-up.

Mine's ridiculous as well. APM, MVA, RMD, MDP, SWD, AIP, DCA, CDSC, OLI, IAVA, CIVA, FA, VA, FIA, I'm only about a third of the way through so I'll stop now.

Can you do the job well? That's all I care about. The only thing certs tell me is that you can memorize answers well enough to pass an exam.

Good morning, MEUSA, RalphPa, etc.
