Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

HHT for me tonight. Almost gave me a heart attack in the 3rd, but SCSU managed to win.

Next week is going to need industrial strength beer. Oh wait...I work in Wisconsin. Problem solved.

Went to my kid's high school hoops playoff game again tonight - saw them win last night - and saw them win their regional (tonight) on a shot with two seconds to go. The other team got off a full court shot in those final 2 seconds and I've never been at a game where things went so suddenly dead quiet as when that ball was in the air and heading straight for the hoop - the whole pin drop thing was never more true. Hit the freaking rim.

Fun time.

The boy passed the mahi test.

I'm thinking he outgrew whatever reaction he was having to seafood.

Very cool as we go to Florida and St. Lucia in April and seafood will be a big part of our trip!

So, I dvr'd the Badger game and the 3rd period of the Gopher game. Gonna go downstairs and drink and play some guitar for a bit and then will need something to watch until I pass out.

Decisions, decisions. What to watch? :D:p

Oh yeah and, congrats Mankato!

If you play Stairway, I will drive over and smash your guitar against the wall.

I don't do any Zeppelin although I am a huge fan. Don't have Mr. Plant's range. :(

Floyd I can do though...

:p

At the *HT, because Jim's big hunk of silver isn't coming home quite yet. Next year.

I have the range of a lot of frontmen...at least I think so when I'm howling along in the car. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

What about Rush? King Crimson? Gong? Nektar?

Unfortunately, none of those really lends themselves to one dude and an acoustic guitar. :p

Always thought that I'd like to do Losing It by Rush though...

On occasion, I've wondered while doing that what it'd be like to isolate my vocals like you can do with a multi track studio recording.

Yikes.

Guitar tuned, mic and amp set up... Candles lit... Drink poured...

Set one about to begin...

Computer shut down...

Can't say Mookie has been at a 3OT game before.

Until now :(

The switch to Daylight Savings Time is stupid. If you need that much more daylight to do something, then get up earlier to do it. We should just stay on DST anyways. Grumbles.

Move to Saskatchewan (except the Lloydminster area) then.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

I'm somewhat happy my teams season is over. It has been rough.

It's funny, I love posting around here in the Cafe and enjoy many of you people. But I am becoming fed up with the other UAA posters. :(
