Aren't you some type of engineer? Shouldn't you be able to rig some fancy contraption to get this to work with one person

It needs a diesel engine powered by an alternative fuel for him to work on it. ;)

Good Morning Lodge.

I've been meaning to mention for mookie - maybe gmann or Brent noticed too - one of the freshman skating cheerleaders for the Gophs this year appears to be mookie's type. Very attractive young Asian lady. She balances out anther newbie on the squad who appears to be destined to be the base of any pyramid formations they perform, but a very good skater.

I did not as I was preoccupied trying to get a shot right between the eyes of goldy the gopher. ;)

And another week starts. I am exhausted from the weekend.

I don't really want to build some contraption to get it done, when it should be easy enough with just using manpower. We got the other 6 sheets up there using manpower, only difference is now, we only have 2 people instead of 4. I think I should be able to lift the plywood up there, and hopefully the wife will be able to grab it and pull it the rest of the way up.

3/4" ply for decking on a shed roof? The "if some is good, more is better" school of engineering, eh?

Howdy Lodge. Monday. Blah. Have my first physical therapy appointment today. It's an evaluation. We'll see how it goes.

Lodge I need your help!

I'm looking for paper foreign currency. Just 1 or 2 notes from 4 more countries.

My nephew (6 yo) loves foreign money but doesn't have any. So far I've got 5 kinds (Swiss, Euro, Pound, Mex Peso, Can Dollar). Making it a hannukauh gift. Different one for 8 days, and an extra in xmas card.

It's hard to find other currency on hand at banks, and ordering requires large sums

I have some Indian Rupies.

I should have mentioned if you are willing to mail me the currency, email me through board and we can work it out.

I'll make sure it's going to an email I check.

I have, but not usually in reference to a garden shed. ;)

Well, I wanted 3/4" plywood for the floor, since I'll be putting some heavy stuff in there, like my 4-wheeler and plow, and I didn't want the floor to bow too much. So when I got to the point of calculating how many sheets I'd need for the roof, I just added that number to the number for the floor, without much thought of the fact that I was over-engineering the hell out of it. :p

I need to figure out how to get 2 4'x7' chunks of 3/4" plywood to the top of shed with only 2 people. 8' walls, and another 4 1/2' of peak to get them up. Yes, I built a 12'6" tall "garden shed". :p
One-person job using straps, hook (optional), rope, done.

Do you still have the skidloader? Solves a lot of problems.

Well that was an interesting appointment. Therapist believes 50% of the pain I'm in stems from both how my work cube is set up and from being a couch potato, watching TV and using my laptop at home. He told me to stop. That's not going to happen, at least completely, but I will see about lessening the amount of time I spend online at home. Plus some stretching excercises to do between appointments. Wondering if there is a way to submit a workers comp claim......

Did he say if it was an ergonomics issue at your desk? Most large companies will figure ways to adapt an employee's workspace for such concerns. My employer has intalled cubes that have desks set for someone to stand for their entire shift, desks for seated people that are higher or lower than standard, and desks attached to a lifting mechanism that will move up and down. Others have special keyboard placements, chairs and and a few other things.

My company has been doing the same thing for the last few years. Lots of emphasis on workplace ergonomics.

At home, waiting for Comcast to show up. Yay. My mom was playing with the skid loader on Saturday, before it had to be taken back. She ignored the part when I told her to be careful in this area, because the cable lines are buried here, and proceeded to tear them out of the ground, completely severing them. So we had to call Comcast to come out and fix it, since I have no idea how to fix cable wires.

I'd certainly consider a remodel of the cube or workspace. Mostly because the employer ought to have not much problem springing for it.
