Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Well that was an interesting appointment. Therapist believes 50% of the pain I'm in stems from both how my work cube is set up and from being a couch potato, watching TV and using my laptop at home. He told me to stop. That's not going to happen, at least completely, but I will see about lessening the amount of time I spend online at home. Plus some stretching excercises to do between appointments. Wondering if there is a way to submit a workers comp claim......
I go for a massage every 2 weeks because of the laptop from work. I absolutely cannot use the laptop on my lap without making my neck and headache sx so bad I could throw up. Have to use it at a desk (I have a rolling cart at work)

Preaching to the choir - my company is all about the ergo stuff. Seriously, I think we invented it all. Comes from being the largest Workers Comp writer ever - heh. We're moving back to our nely remodeled old space this weekend. Once we get there I'm planning to have the ergo team come to look at my cube. I've never had one that I can recall.

Good Morning Lodge.

I've been meaning to mention for mookie - maybe gmann or Brent noticed too - one of the freshman skating cheerleaders for the Gophs this year appears to be mookie's type. Very attractive young Asian lady. She balances out anther newbie on the squad who appears to be destined to be the base of any pyramid formations they perform, but a very good skater.

y'all had one at the froz4 last year. unfortunately when she came up to hand in the aisle during periods (the other type) she was never in the one next to mookie in my stategic lower bowl seats :(

not sure what class she was however....

My pa has cellulitis in one of his legs. In the hospital being pumped full of antibiotics. He'll be fine, but not too fun for the big guy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Just back from anniversary dinner with my bride at Oceanairre.

Kinda 'spensive.

We really like that place. It is expensive but the experience we had there was well worth it. Can't say that for all of the nice restaurants we've visited.

Well, I wanted 3/4" plywood for the floor, since I'll be putting some heavy stuff in there, like my 4-wheeler and plow, and I didn't want the floor to bow too much. So when I got to the point of calculating how many sheets I'd need for the roof, I just added that number to the number for the floor, without much thought of the fact that I was over-engineering the hell out of it. :p

If anything, I can come up early and lend a hand on Friday. I have the day off.

:( Hope things turn around quickly

Guess the doctors are saying "severe cellulitis" now. I guess his calf is purple and larger than the thigh, and my dad has monstrous thighs from all the years playing and officiating hockey. He started feeling sick a couple days ago, not telling my mother anything about his leg getting red and huge. What a doofus. Sounds like my mom got him in just before sepsis really went rampant.

Buddy has that. It's not fun. At all. And it doesn't necessarily ever go away. It remains dormant.

They did an MRI and found that it is only in the top layer of skin, not in the muscle or bone. That's good. But yeah, they'll have to keep an eye out for it from here on. He eventually fell very ill from his kidneys starting to fail. They are up and running well again. Sounds like he'll be laid up in there until Thursday.

That's good. IIRC, my buddy's ran deep. He's a heavy set fellow. Played NT for Totino Grace back in the day.

Morning.

This is the last week of daylight savings time. Enjoy your extra hour this weekend.

Also, I need awesome 30th birthday ideas. I want it to be special for the wife. Usually she gets gyped (sp?) with it being right after Christmas.

Yikes, glad they caught it in time! Hope he recovers quickly and fully.

Oceanairre did personalize the menus for us, and it was great food. Had shrimp ceviche for an app and it was enormous and quite tasty. So used to apps at high end places being tiny.

Glad to read the second post. The first one was dam scary. Had not so nice thoughts to the outcome. Glad the MRI looked good.

Got some time at home before heading to the airport to catch the corporate jet. Hope to have a productive discussion with my new supervisor this afternoon about a new position I'm interested in, also reporting to him. Time to try to get a promotion! Then tonight I think I'm going to do a little bourbon/beer hunting in So. Indiana. Maybe...MAYBE go down to Louisville to find some bourbon in Kentucky.
