What a morning, my wife had a big doctor's appointment and everything is good there...and I got offered a bribe at at work this morning. Prospective buyer attempted to palm me at least $100 to give him info on the site our client is trying to sell to them...great fun.

Oh, its Soccer? Nevermind then. The US has a team? I would have figured we would suck enough to not have to go. Regardless, I am not going to care, even if the US is there. I don't care about the US playing basketball in the Olympics, so why would I care about the US soccer team?

I really want to pony this post but I will respect the tLodge.

And it's my birthday so I don't care too much. :D

Afternoon Lodge. Fun couple of days ahead. Get to go to one of the best burger places in the Twin Cities (The Nook) for a free burger and beer after class tonight, then get to head over to the Endeavor Air Operations Center late tomorrow night at the airport to tour their SOC and walk around a hangar. Monday morning, we're going to go and tour the Minneapolis tower and TRACON, and the En Route Center in Farmington...

Ok, so it probably only sounds fun for me, but still...:D

I think I am done with my training material. I printed it all, front and back, it it is about 300 pages. Uffda.

I was negotiating a fairly big contract in a previous profession. It was a big contract that my company would have really benefited from. Anyways, the person I was dealing with from the other company called me one day and stated "If you get me tix to Disney for myself, wife and my two kids all expenses paid for 7 days the deal is yours." I politely informed him I would have to get back to him on that one. After discussing with the execs from my company we decided to yank everything from that company.

Make note to self. Never. Ever. Never ever attend a training session submitted by bigblue. Never. Ever. Never. ;)

I told my bosses...they made me write up an official letter for the record of what happen. The guy who did it admitted to doing it during their meeting with our client today stating, "that's the way we do business in Miami." Note to self, never move to Miami.

Good Evening, Lodge!

I don't know how to feel right now. The CEO of the company I work for called me and a few others to his office and told us that my boss's wife asked for a divorce and asked us to take over the next few days. I am shocked as no one expected this. I am gut-wrenched as he is my boss, but worse is that both of them are my friends. It is going to be a few rough days ahead.

Even though are currently in Superior........welcome to MN!
Thanks. The ride up 35 was nice. Very flat...

I looked down into the Minnesota football stadium on the approach to MSP, and saw the Xcel on the way out of the airport. So far, what I've seen of Superior is... um... not good. My mom called the neighborhood "seedy". Very industrial and dirty. We'll see what tomorrow brings. The homestead where the wedding will be is 16 miles south of the bay... 200+ acres of farmland and woods.

Yep, that guy is either a dealer on the side, or was in his past. :)

EDIT: Yes, Superior is seedy-ish. So is the strip of Duluth that runs along I-35, where the docks and plants are. Can't expect anything less in a major port.

I recommend going to Bev's Juke Joint. Cheap beer. Word to the wise, bring tons of hand sanitizer and don't go to the bathroom. Great heavy metal bar. Cool classic rock memorabilia on the wall. Except is to closed now. Sad....so sad.
