S'upp y'all

Funny how ch5 was calling for 30 inches in Boston today in their Sunday forecast.
Even now they holding out with 4-6in while everyone else is going with "dusting to 1in"

Got to the test cell at 6:00. Have had issues late yesterday and early this morning trying to connect to a new prototype ECM, but it seems to be working now. Fingers crossed. I have a whole bunch of testing that needs to get done between now and Friday at noon.

How do you electronically comutate a diesel?

How do you electronically comutate a diesel?

I work on nat gas and alt fuels engines, no diesels. We have an in-house computer program that talks to the ECM over J1939. I can download and upload cals, modify and build cals, and change engine parameters on the fly. Today I'm just logging a whole bunch of data.

Mornin' y'all. Heading to Fort Myers to catch a little Twins/Bucs spring training game. I've never been and my dad really wanted to go, so I was game. 69 and sunny today, so not extremely warm; perfect baseball weather.

So apparently we're supposed to have dinner or something with what would technically be my cousin? in Saturday evening.. I don't know him really.. Acquaintance at best.. Does it make me a bad person if I really don't want to go so I can watch the a Mavericks in their most important game in history? I know there are more important things in life than hockey, but I don't even know him..

I think it can work. Game's at 7:30, so meet for dinner at 5:30. You're from the upper midwest, he already expects you have lunch at 11:00am. :p Dinner wraps at 7:10, you're back in time for the game, and you've impressed your extended relatives with your thoughtfulness, which they won't forget when they're drawing up their wills. :D Just make sure the restaurant is close to where you're watching the game!

It absolutely makes you a horrible person, but that's what we like about you. ;)

And just to be the devil on your shoulder - isn't this your vacation? I get that you're staying with your folks, but you should get to do the things you want to do. (Easier said than done, I know.)

In my world ecm is electronically commutated motor. Small, variable speed motors on fans and pumps.

I was still stuck on the game being on at 6:30, my mind forgot it was at 7:30 Florida time. Hopefully we can do an early dinner, but I like where mel's head is at as well. If not it's gonna be tough to miss the game; which I still need to find a way to watch via ESPN3 anyways.:p

Well at least it's good for something!!:p

Doesn't make you a horrible person at all. Many moons ago, BU was on the cusp of making its first Final Four since I started following the team. Best 2 out of 3 series at Michigan State, Terriers lost game 1, won game 2, deciding game was Sunday, the day of my brother and sister-in-law's bridal shower. I was in the wedding, had to be there. After shower get together at her parents' house and I bolted because, well, how do you miss that??? Her brother thought I was awesome. My parents gave me the side eye but understood. If you get a chance to say hi and meet for a couple of hours, that's good. I'm happy to back you up!! :) also, that game isn't on TV so bring a laptop or your phone and go watch it in the car!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Mavsy's in fla though.
Early dinner hour is THE dinner hour!!! Places could and will be packed!!
Try lunch or late dinner after game (assuming you can find a restaurant that stays open for "late" dinners :) )

And they complain when I do math here. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Woke up a little while ago for my afternoon shift, wasn't feeling totally great. Get up here to take over babysitting, and my body decides it didn't really like my choice of breakfast food, apparently.

Been taking some naps and drinking water since then. Weird stuff, it can certainly go away soon.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I'm going to make sure and find a way to watch the game. I still don't have ESPN3 access right now.

What if the cousin you don't know that you want to skip out on meeting has ESPN3 access and would let you log in to WatchESPN on your phone or his to watch the game? Oops! :D

We'll **** now we're in a predicament..

Twins training camp was awesome. We had seats four rows up about 8 feet down the line from third to home. Ridiculously good weather.
