Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

The boy saw his first varsity action last night in a scrimmage against Wausau West and looked like he belonged. Scored our only 5 on 5 goal in a 2-2 tie and played well in general.

Played half of the JV game and had an assist and about 5 or 6 hits.

Best thing though is that I won $40 shaking dice with some of the dads in the bar afterwards! :D

It's good to be back in-season.

Ah, Wisconsin. Honestly the only state I've seen that in. :D

What the hell do you people do in bars? :p

I still remember going back home to Illinois after I had been up here for a few years and being shocked that not everyone in bars drank like we did or played euchre or dice or could hold their liquor like we did up here.

I then realized that I was in the pros and the people back home were not.

We drink in bars. Duh. :p

Actually, with the taproom boom here, more people are doing things like playing cribbage/cards/etc while they drink. It's pretty limited to the taprooms, not actual bars, though.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

Went out for breakfast, racked up a nice bill at a couple of stores, then stopped at the office for a few. Now relaxing for a little bit before going out again.

At the * Football Table.

Tech loses 42-41 to Angelo State on a missed field goal in the closing seconds.

ETA: Oh God. It was the kicker's last game as a senior.

HHT! Good win after a late OT game last night. Makes for a more enjoyable ride home from Connecticut.

Why would I stay in Hartford any longer than I have to? Plus there's an AHL game tonight and they more or less pushed us out of the building.

Starting to dig the new choo-choo in St. Paul. The boss & I took it to campus to watch the women's pucksters put on a clinic against Mankato, dinner at Bona, then a quick drink at Campus Pizza before heading home. My only complaint (other than the construction) is there isn't a stop in front of, or really near, the Dubliner. That would be awesome...
