Was at a hog roast myself yesterday.

Preseason gathering for my son's high school hockey team out at a really nice farm in the hills west of Madison. Pig = yummy!

Packer game today at Lambeau with the family.

Great weekend.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Great time at the family bonfire on Saturday night. Also a great afternoon of watching football with Hoven at his church.

Good Morning Lodge. So, remember when I was talking about e-sports? League of Legends is coming to ESPN this weekend.
Well, since no one else commented on this, I'll say, "wow, it's right up there with spelling sports!"

...Still too early to tell but this could shape up to be a rather interesting season. I hope. Next week should be more of a test with Michigan State and Michigan coming to town. Hoping the team treats me for my birthday!

While I hope you have a good birthday, I hope my team treats me for making the trip out East. Getting excited to travel again.
Do any of the BU and Lowell fans have suggestions for things to do/places to eat before the games?
Also, will I get to see the legendary Jasmine on Friday night?

Jasmine is baaaack. Ask mookie...
Where are you staying? Our thread just had a bunch of posts for where to eat that are good

Got some black dirt being delivered this afternoon, and I have some class 5 coming in Wednesday afternoon. Time to finally get the western side of the lawn looking decent, with some actual grass growing. And get some decent gravel on the drive way. Have to make use of this skid loader while I have it!

Across the street there are 2
Sunset cantina is a bar with restaurant that serves what you'd expect.
Couple doors east of that is Otto which has pretty good pizz dammit.
Farther west also across the street is a japanese place that I frequent on weeknights before games. Can never remember the name but easy to google "japanese comm ave"
One full block west on same side of street is a chinese place that is very good. Past there couple doors is a thai place.

The standing suggestion is Lowell Beer Works though there are a couple of other suggestions. If it were me, this time of year, while the picking may be done I'd load up on macintosh apples... but that's a "home" thing for me.

I have never heard of Otto. Where is that?

Depends on what you're looking for. T's Pub is a block away. Usually pretty busy pre-game. T Anthony's Pizza is a block or so up from that, across the street. There's a Panera Bread, a Cane's Chicken (right next door), Boston House of Pizza is close by.

Food in Agganis is OK and you can buy beer there.

wT - where are you staying - closer to Boston or Lowell?

I know that math is a challenge to you (hence you dropping out of engineering:p), but not there yet. It is a milestone one, but not that milestone.

Medicare eligible? :p

Happy Birthday!

We're staying in Woburn. Price and convenience to highway seemed good to us. Somewhat between the 2 game locations.

And I was going to post this in that thread over in DI but I seem to recall your last visit you didn't really come to Agganis....or you were there and don't recall much as you had gone out to watch the football game and imbibed a bit too much. :) Hope that doesn't happen again this year. Let me know where your seats will be and I will come find you. And drag mookie if he plans to be there that day. Is NASK coming with you?

And happy birthday goldy!! Hope it's been a great day. Wednesday looks like it's going to suck here weather-wise (for me). Big sigh.

When has celebrating your birthday ever been limited to one day. Seriously, who's kidding who, here? :D
