Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Booked a flight to Florida for the end of this month. I'm only missing only 2 classes, one of which I can really afford to miss. I need the vacation; it's been a long and busy winter, so I'm excited to join my parents for a few days of their stay.

Tonight we have one of our big youth hockey fundraisers, the MAHA Stag. Should be a fun night with hockey coaches and dads, could get pretty crazy. We'll see.

Where abouts? Pretty nice weather this time of the year.

I just put down a hold deposit for a new car. I'm going to be distracted tomorrow at the office.

2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek.
I'm hoping to go car shopping on Monday. I'm interested in the Crosstek or Forester. I need to see the Crosstek in person to see if it's really something I'd like, but it sure is pretty online. ;)

I need to go somewhere. Hopefully in May I can take some time and go to Florida or something. Lots of work travel starting at the end of March.

It was a good day today. Bonus check day (yay!) and announcment of our merit raises. Which were minimal considering how well the company did last year. Mind you, I'm not complaining. At all. I may use it to pay down my mortgage.

Good evening Lodge.

So, FlagDUDETTE is complaining about her computer and makes me fix it. I look on there, and there's a whole bunch of BS she doesn't need. What part of declining the install do these computer illiterates not understand?!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

We got maybe 5 inches from it yesterday. Wet, heavy snow. Just after I had almost cleared all the ice from my driveway with the help of 50 degree temperatures on Tuesday.

It has now been the snowiest Winter on record in Ann Arbor. *horray*

Also, because I'm a dork, here is the song I made up while shoveling yesterday (sung to the tune of "Hi ho" from 'Snow White'):
Hi ho, hi ho, I'm off to shovel snow
Will Winter end, we'll never know,
Oh no, more snow, more snow, more snow.

Ya'll are welcome for the earworm.
Yeah, the office opted to be closed for Wednesday on tuesday because they figured nobody would be making it to their appointments on time, and well, would be all sorts of stressed out in getting there and then stressed in getting back home. So I got to stay home and plow the driveway. Ended up pretty much just trying to skim most of the snow off of the driveway because the thaw on Tuesday had melted some of the frost out and it was pretty much mush for the driveway's surface. if i tried to get all of it I would have been ripping a lot of the driveway. :p It also didn't help any that there was plenty of melt water right there in the driveway and made the snow more like wet cement. Not fun to work with.

Just remember, you're the one shacking up with her, so what does that say about you?? ;)

Not sure if you know the reference. :) It's part of tSBFItW's repertoire.

First I had to googel tSBFitW. That led me to this:

Original theme song or GTFO.

tSBFitW had an arrangement of the theme song which treated the clarinets to sixth octave F's and G's. Tied whole notes. (In layman's terms, EAR-SPLITTINGLY HIGH PITCHED SQUEALING NOISES, borderline out of range for an average clarinet/clarinetist.)

And that allows me -- two years later! -- to reply:

In other words, something I could play while sitting on the couch, watching a hockey game on TV, and posting on USCHO. :D

So we don't have to do anything with this new registration process, right? Just for anyone new?

Imagine Dragons was just at SXSW in Austin. Nathan went, said it was a great show.

The snow is falling up here. I'm not complaining about this storm as parts of NH and VT got close to 2 feet!! Ugh. Did you MI/MN peeps get anything from this?

Duluth got about two inches Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon, so no not really. :)

:D It stands for The Second Best Feeling In The World. And think of the Wizard of Oz song...but sing O-REE-Ohs...OOOOH-reeohs..O-Ree-Ohs....O-reeohs and beer!

The Crosstrek is much smaller than the Forester. The Crosstrek is basically an Impreza on a raised chasis. Speaking of which, I picked up my car tonight. It took three freaking hours to complete the purchase process. This is my first vehicle with a moonroof. I know it's stupid, but it actually has me really excited. The paddle shifting could be fun, too - it'll feel like I'm playing Gran Turismo. :D

3 hours? JFC. I went in basically blind (cold call to buy a car; I had my info/research/budget) and it took about 45 minutes.

Y'all are welcome for the earworm to remove the original earworm.

You do realize that you've only infected those that can read music, right?

Then again, those people will invariably start humming it, therefore spreading the disease. Nevermind.

Good Morning Lodge.

That's OK, none of them around me that would be on here so I'm safe. I won't show Jr who could read it.

Clown, the Forester is on an Impreza chassis as well, so they are close to the same size, other than the size of the sheet metal box on top. They have the same wheelbase, same track, same drive train, same ground clearance but the Forester is 5 inches longer and 3 inches taller with more volume for hockey stuff.

ETA: fixed my post.
