Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Saw there were a bunch of spam threads just a bit ago, but I wonder if they are new spammers or if they may have gotten membership before the switch and coming back a second (or tenth) go around.
The few early this morning seem to have been eradicated but there's 3 or 4 new ones over in D-1 and the join dates are today. Something isn't working as intended or these spamalots know hockey.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Got a new phone yesterday after work. I was sick of how slow and glitchy my old one had become. My new one is pretty nice.

Went out to a concert last night. I bought my fiance tickets for Valentine's day. She always goes with me to country concerts, some of which she isn't too into (though, others she enjoys just us much as I do ie: King George and Eric Church). So I decided to get her tickets to a concert she'd enjoy, and make it a date night. The band we saw was Imagine Dragons, I don't know them too much, but there were about 4 songs that I did know once I heard them. They put on a pretty good show, and the songs that were hits were excellent. I don't think they have enough songs to headline an arena tour, though, as they only have one album released. For many of their songs it seemed like most of the arena never heard them, but they sold out the Xcel, so it has to be considered a success. We both did agree that the opening bands were quite horrible, but oh well, we didn't get tickets to watch them. Also, we got reservations at the Headwaters Restaurant on club level of the X, which is always pretty **** good food, especially the desert. I think she really enjoyed it, and I had a good time too.

Heh, a co-worker did the same thing with his woman for that concert. He actually likes the band too, though, so he was looking forward to the show.

So we don't have to do anything with this new registration process, right? Just for anyone new?

Imagine Dragons was just at SXSW in Austin. Nathan went, said it was a great show.

The snow is falling up here. I'm not complaining about this storm as parts of NH and VT got close to 2 feet!! Ugh. Did you MI/MN peeps get anything from this?

On the shore of Lake Michigan, we're not getting anything.

We got a little drizzle from it the other day, but no snow in MSP. I hear Chicago got hit pretty hard. C'mon, you know if we had gotten anything we'd ***** about it as we've become weather wussies up here. ;)

We got maybe 5 inches from it yesterday. Wet, heavy snow. Just after I had almost cleared all the ice from my driveway with the help of 50 degree temperatures on Tuesday.

It has now been the snowiest Winter on record in Ann Arbor. *horray*

Also, because I'm a dork, here is the song I made up while shoveling yesterday (sung to the tune of "Hi ho" from 'Snow White'):
Hi ho, hi ho, I'm off to shovel snow
Will Winter end, we'll never know,
Oh no, more snow, more snow, more snow.

Ya'll are welcome for the earworm.

In concert key...

Bb A Bb A Bb F G A
Bb A Bb A Bb F G A

Y'all are welcome for the earworm to remove the original earworm.

Priceless mentioned in the extra thread that 5 got through the new barrier. However, 43 got through the other day, so I guess it was a good step in the right direction.

Just bought a couple tickets to the Gopher-BU women's game for Saturday. Not many left at this date, no GA left. Had to wait to be sure if JR could go. He has a meet and practice session for the trap team at the opposite end of town at 1 PM. We may be late, but got reserved seats anyway. Going tonight to buy his shotgun for him. Gonna get a two barrel package so he'll be able to use it for deer too by switching to the rifled slug barrel.

Sadly, it appears that "Not at the Table, Carlos" may be a casualty of my changing of phones. :(

I basically had to learn to tolerate that stuff this year, as our guys loved playing their music in the locker room. Six of them went last night, and from what I saw via social media, they enjoyed it. So good to hear the show was pretty good.
