goldy, we're going to the Gophs/BU hockey game as well. Section 15. I'll be the guy in the BU jersey. :p

Well, since they don't serve beer, I'll have to spill a coke on you instead when I see you!:p I'll be in some Gopher gear. I'm in section 2, same end, other corner. Though we may stand, if there is room. Ridder is great for watching while standing. Then we can go the BU end where all the action will be. ;)

ETA: My cousin's grandson will be in the UMN pep band tomorrow. Not sure if he's playing trombone or baritone. His high school instrument was trombone but they switched him to baritone for the marching band as they were short baritones and he can play either.

And you are...?
Clueless … as always. :o

Not sure if you know the reference. :) It's part of tSBFItW's repertoire.
You're right, I don't know the origin, but the bottom line for me is that Oreos and beer doesn't sound all that tasty. (don't know how to make a yuck face and too lazy to look for one)

Yeah, that means nothing to me. :p My musical knowledge is scraping the bottom of the barrel. I just listen in ignorance.
God created iTunes for people like us that otherwise couldn't make a musical sound if our lives depended on it.

Does anyone else have this problem with the Forum for about the last three months?
On my main login on my desktop Mac, the formatting became strange, so that rather than looking like it normally does, the format of the Fan Forum looks raw as though it is in character mode, not CGi, and the CSS or something is messed up. I can access from other logins on the same Mac and data looks fine, and it is fine on my laptop. I don't know if it is a software problem or a cookies problem. I was hoping that it would go away as magically as it appeared, but life is never that easy.

On my old Macbook, this forum looks as if the browser isn't recognizing the CSS. Very basic/rudimentary layout.

On both my newer Macbook and my iMac, the forum looks as it should.

My guess is that it's related to the version of OS.

Yes, that's what I'm seeing; much of the functionality is missing.

I don't think it is the OS per se, because it looks fine on this login on my desktop, but is messed on my main login. Same OS on both. It could be related to some other app I have open, I guess, but once I started seeing the problem, I've seen it all of the time, not intermittently. But only one the one login, not anywhere else.

Went to the local (to work) Thai restaurant for lunch. (sorry mooks, only male waiters)
It is just this small, really ****ty looking place. The building is an old Burger King, or Hardees or KFC or something like that. The place is an absolute dump. Carpet is all torn up and dirty as hell, cheap and ugly formica tables, etc. ****ing incredible tasting food. Amazing. I usually get their lunch buffet, which is really **** good in its own right, but today I decided to order off the menu for the first time. I had a duck curry, and it was to die for. I usually love Thai curries, but this one was pretty easily the best I've ever tasted. Its no surprise that the place has a few ShCity Pages restaurant awards on their dingy ugly walls. :p For the locals, the place is Taste of Thailand in Fridley/Spring Lake Park (not sure which side of the border its on)

The site always looks that way on my old Macbook now, but it used to look the correct way. It changed about a year or two ago.

Have no idea why it changed.

Nice hockey team you've got there, friend. :)
Hope you've been well.
Yes, they're fun to watch. Three lines with little drop off, which is rare in the women's game. I have been well; how about you? Have you adjusted to life outside of MN?

Random thought of the day:

Anyone had LASIK? Does it work well? Side effects? Worth the cost?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

First week of workshop is over, wow.
Nice thing is lady who runs my department said not to head back to our normal jobs and to go home. I was worried I wouldn't get home until 6ish and would miss part of the MN game, Yeah her! :)

I had LASIK done in 2000, and am very happy I did. My vision isn't the crystal clear 20/15 that they advertise, but it is probably 20/50. There have been no side effects. I wore contacts a long time ago (long before LASIK) but found I was constantly getting dust specks in my eyes so I quit wearing them and used glasses. I can't imagine living in Seattle and wearing glasses due to the constant mist. Well worth the cost.

My laptop has the mobile version and I can't figure out how to change it back. I've asked here and also in the cafe and NO ONE CAN HELP ME. I can't/ don't give rep because I can't. I've cleared my cookies, I've logged off and on and nothing works. I've emailed Board. Yeah right. I give up.

Happened to me too, stupid question, sometimes when you clear cookies it doesn't do it for favorites. May want to check that as I was only clearing the cookies of non-favorites. Now I'm back to regular version.

Not yet, hopefully in the next few years. Everyone I know who's had the surgery hasn't regretted it. My dad had it done via the old procedure (PRK, where they actually removed part of the corneal layer and it had to grow back). Nowadays, they have the cutting down to a fairly involved science and they make very small, flap-like incisions that heal much faster. His has held up fairly well for about 15-20 years, but nowadays he definitely needs glasses again when he drives at night, and it probably won't stop you from eventually needing readers if you're genetically predisposed.

General advice seems to be that you get the best bang for your buck when you have it done while you're still late 20s-mid 30s. By then your eyes have stabilized, but you're still pretty young, so you're far less likely to need 'touch-ups' in the first decade after the procedure. So I'd say go for it now, I plan to have it done in the next few years myself.

Have to change the channel from the UM vs. UMi game. Listening to Buccigross verbally deepthroat the Big 10 and the ****hole tincan in Ann Arbor is a whore is just disgusting.

Twitch, I had Lasik a year and a half ago, haven't regret it. Well worth the money. No side effects, and the discomfort after the procedure doesn't last more than 24 hours.
