There are currently 14 spam threads on the first page of the D-I forum.

Good Morning Lodge.

So JF, does it cost a lot more to have the sign-up include the "type these words here" deal with the disguised script lettering like all other sites use?

Considering how many sites have them, I doubt that they are expensive.

Edit: Hopefully they would only introduce it when you register. I would hate to have to type one of those for every post.

I have no idea about the cost of that widget.

These bots make it easy to spread rep. Ive splashed a lot of red today!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

They should just make a 25 post minimum to start a thread.

I thought about that, but then you'd just see these random spam posts in the middle of threads instead of being stand alone threads. I'm not sure which would be worse.

I sure don't fee bad about not paying for extra for the last 3 years. If the board can't control this, **** them, they don't deserve my money.

Good morning Lodge.

Is anyone else having an odd Tuesday?

I saw the ex for the first time since the break up...but from afar as passing cars at a stoplight. Then his facebook status shortly afterwards is "just blew a fuse in my brain...concentration gone for the day" and being the self-centered person I am, I wonder if the status is about seeing me.

I have to go teach a bunch of people what a deviation is. Production now thinks because I allow a deviation once that they can file that and go back to it and say product is good because we decided to use it once before.

And then there's other stuff. It is too early in the morning for all this crap. Could someone please pass the coffee? Oh, and spike mine with some Bailey's.

Not yet. Did get an e-mail reply from an architect about fees that is pizzing me off a bit. Owner has radically changed the scope of a little project and the architect is thinking we can't get any more fee for the job. My response would be "well, our proposal to you is for much less work than is being requested now, if you or the Owner won't pay us for the added work, you can find another engineer" but I turned the whole thing over to the Partner who wrote the original proposal. It's why he gets the big bucks, let him worry about it.

Morning, Lodjrz.

Why are you checking an ex's FB page?!? He probably left that status just for you. Mind games! Bad juju! Bad!

I'm not checking it. We just never unfriended each other, so his status appeared in my news feed. It's weird I'm still facebook friends with him and some of his friends, and he's still facebook friends with some of my friends. It's not like we parted on bad terms, we just never cross paths.

In other weird Tuesday news: My office is near the small conference room, and there's a meeting going on in there with the door open so I can hear most of what is being said. They're talking about website design and trying to get search engine hits, and this consultant type guy we're working with is a moron. I think my internet knowledge is about average, maybe slightly above average, for someone in my age bracket. I know way more than this "expert". That everyone else in that room knows even less than him and is buying his bull*, makes me sad.
