Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

A car flipped on northbound Cedar Ave this morning, at the Apple Valley/Eagan border. I saw this as I passed by the car at around 6:15 this morning with the firetruck and police all on scene. The tow trucks zipped by me along the shoulder of the highway. There wasn't a mention of it on any of the various morning traffic reports I heard.

I decided to drive into Minneapolis today rather than taking the bus. With the issues my car had recently, I decided that it was best to not leave it out in the cold all day today, so it's parked in the IDS Tower's heated garage.

That is why I heard the fire trucks so early this morning. The closest firehouse to the city limits is the one on Rahn, between Diffley and Hwy 13.

Afternoon, Lodge. Hope you're all keeping warm.

Bartender! I'll take a Boulevardier. Rocks. And some peanuts, if you've got them.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Last week of break for me, and with school closed the last two days for us, no practices or games. I've done a whole lot of sleeping and nothing the last 48 hours.

Saw you guys lost a close one the other day with your rival for the section. Better luck next time!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

I'm sure that Hammer will appreciate you running a 3 bottom plow throw his snowblower.
actually its the post hole digger and a drag that I would worry about. :p

Really missing having a front end loader to pick, dump and pile snow up somewhere. You can only push and pull it so much with the blade.
Congrats

That's about normal for the Carpenter rd Meijer. I've waited in line 20 minutes or so on normal nights. Saturday they were prepared and had every lane open and were checking out small orders at the jewelry counter.

Hello Lodge, from my snow-bound house. Clearly my neighborhood does not rank high on the county road commission's list of streets to plow. And while maybe other drivers have packed the snow down enough for me to go, I don't want to get stuck in the snow when it's -10 degrees.
Yeah, think they did say they have a few people call in sick that night as well, so that didn't help em any as well.

A nice, cold 3-day weekend, and it only took until 10 am for someone to use up all my ****s to give for the week. Impressive.
So I take that as a no as for borrowing your snow-blower then? Well then, how about a shovel?

Could I borrow it from you, along with Lil?

That would work out very well for getting rid of that drift. Not that its going to be melting anytime soon. :p

It may take him awhile to get there....

As long as he arrives and aids me in removing that drift before it melts. Not too worried about it yet as its going to take a hell of a warm up to really start making a mess here.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

I might need the shovel too. I have to deal with dad issues.
:(

I need to bury a grudge. Those **** things are heavy. Did I say grudge? I meant a clown.

I think maybe the Lodge needs to invest in another shovel??
