Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

True dat.

My boss just came over to me to learn more about Twitter. She sent me a test tweet and I showed her my newsfeed, etc. God, I hope she doesn't follow me. I very rarely talk about work on Twitter but I don't need her seeing what I tweet. I think she's good about not wanting to follow any of her team either on Twitter or Facebook.

I have an unwritten rule: NO DISCUSSION OF WORK ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Period.

The guy in charge of recruiting follows me on Twitter. Super weird.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

This isn't your first post op, is it?????
No, it's my third. I had one at 10 days, another at 5 weeks, and now this one at 11 weeks. I have one more six weeks from today and the doc's PA thinks they'll set me free to finish my recovery on my own. My weight limit was moved from 3 lbs to 10 lbs (which I'd already been doing without thought while cooking, moving laundry, and such).

The winning powerball ticket was purchased at the gas station right by my house. About a mile away. Maybe there will be a hootenanny this weekend...

For the best. We don't need more people knowing that there is a town, no, a MPLS. SUBURB, called "Coon Rapids." The little league team is doing enough damage. :)
It would have only counted if you bought the ticket within the confines of Coondale. :D

Yo, Lodge.

Spent the day with the family over at my bro's inlaws, getting things ready for the funeral and such. He's holding up better today, but once in a while he'll look at a picture, or someone will mention SIL's name, and you could see him get a little shaky. He said he was glad I waited until today to talk/visit with him, as the last two days he's been overwhelmed with phone calls/etc (enough to the point he just stopped answering his phone unless it was immediate family, and even then he'd let it ring out sometimes).

Also found that the cause of death was kind of a combo of things. SIL had an enlarged heart, a slight murmur, and scar tissue from an apparent heart episode at some point in the past (the doctor theorized the episode was small enough where SIL wouldn't have even noticed it; just like the murmur was small enough to not notice). Basically, they theorized that all these little things kind of tilted the body at the right moment where the body couldn't correct itself and simply shut down.

Good evening Lodge.

Hoven, hang in there.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

went out after work tonight with some co-workers, and soon realized that two of them are kinda pairing up and hooking up. Good for them, but just kinda bringing me down with the thought that I don't have nobody like that right now.

Le Sigh....

Now I'm just going to shut up now before I go and get really mopey about it like Mavs did. :p

Good morning to tLodge! ;)

Mornin'. Soon to be good night for me, I hope.

Long day today, and long day tomorrow. I request sainthood for the discoverer of caffeine. It got me through today.

Didn't mention this before, and I should have. My bro thanks you all for the support. He was amazed that some have asked if it was okay to show up at the funeral, despite only knowing me. He didn't have the words. Additionally, he was astounded at the well wishes from total strangers (to him). Truly touched. So, I thank you all for that.

25 (aka the quarter-life crisis) could be quite expensive for HP1015. Looking at trading my car in for the VW Touareg (with TDI engine), with the intent being to increase my towing capacity for the boat I would like to purchase. Yikes.
