Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Just back from Albert Lea. My sister's brother-in-law died last week :( (* cancer) and my wife and I decided to drive down for the wake. We didn't tell my sister we were coming down....it was a feel good moment when we walked into the funeral home. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Hey Brent, MNS, PB, SoH or others in the Twin Cities that are interested...we (Brent, MNS and I) briefly discussed potentially going to Houghton for Carnival this year. I'm wondering if you're still interested, and how many are interested. If we have a group of 5-6 that can commit, I have a lead on a cabin outside of town that I believe will still be available. It isn't walking distance to downtown (well, I've walked it, but I don't recommend it) but it will be quite cheap ($400 for a week, total, with 3 bedrooms). Let me know if you are interested, and if I get 5-6, I will get this cabin booked. If not, I'm just going to stick with the waiting list for a Travelodge room that I'm currently on, for me and the fiance.

Possibly.

You think about the Tech/MSU series in November at all?

Also my parents liked the state fair quote from your future father-in-law "You need to see this place"

Tomorrow/Today I will be applying to be the head coach of the local high school JV team. The position is of extra importance this year, as with a high amount of seniors on the varsity roster, 6-8 JV kids will be needed to fill roles next year. It's an exciting opportunity. I'd get to help with Varsity forwards as well. In addition, the Varsity may have it's best team ever this year, and is probably the preseason favorite to win their section. Being a part of all that would be a dream come true.

Awesome, I'm glad they liked it. And you do need to see it, it is pretty impressive to see for the first time (I would think, since I don't remember the first time I went to the fair as it was before my first birthday).

We are planning on going up for the Tech/MSU series, but we can't set it in stone yet, because we're waiting to get some more details on your sister's school schedule. If it works out, we're going to leave Thursday afternoon.

OK, so now it does appear that I will be heading to Minneapolis the weekend of Nov 2-3, probably getting there either the 31st or the 1st to help set up for the Road to Sochi Fan Tour which will be at the Mall of America. You guys need to stop by!!!! It's free!!!

And there will be a former Olympian in the booth who I cannot mention as the contract has not been signed yet.

Does his name similar to an exclamation of impending embarrassing failure?

Good evening Lodge.

Another super long day at the office. Oh well, it is what it is.

Note to the locals who have joined me at OC in the past for NFL Sundays: OC has their Beat The Leader online, now. No more forms at the restaurant to fill out. I got an email, but you guys may have to go to OC's site.

Cannot wait until this Sunday. Football is back!

gmann: ditto.
