Hawaian Dog
Lobster Macaroni and Cheese
Mancini's Cicchetti's Cones
Porketta Pig Wings
Mini Donut Batter Crunch Ice Cream
Minnepumpkin Pie
Persian kabob Koobideh
Peanut Butter and Jelly Malts and Sundaes
Pork Belly Sliders
Pitchfork Sausage
North Woods BBQ Tacos
Philly Fries
Portobollo Bites
Wine Glazed Deep Fried Meatloaf

(I got bored, and skipped some boring ones.)

The immediate standouts are Bourbornwurst, taco sliders, and deep-fried green olives (bonus points if they use garlic or blue cheese stuffed). Comet corn also sounds worth a try.

I admit I'm a little jealous of you guys this time of year.

I'd be surprised if I don't drop a hondo on food this year. I made some mistakes in the past (like eating the 3 bags/$10 Tom Thumb donut deal) that cost me appetite opportunities. I'm all about the variety this year.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

I am so sick of waking up at 5:30 just to do some physical therapy. I would like to go back to bed now, thanks.

You have my permission to go back to bed. But don't blame me if you can't comb your hair with either hand since one shoulder locks up. PS: I get up at 4:25 so I can stretch and exercise my back. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Good morning Lodge. It is loud at my house. The roofers rang the doorbell at 6:55. They said between 7:30 and 9. I was in bed. I planned to get up at 7 and have time to move the car, let the dog out and shower.

Oh well, in 2 hours they've already removed the old roof. Maybe I'll end up at work this afternoon.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Good morning Lodge. Today is my Friday! Kind of a crappy day weather-wise here. Hoping to motor through a lot of stuff and not have to worry about checking email on a regular basis tomorrow, my day off.

Hey, you get into the office insanely early, too.

The exercises and stretches I do are fine, it's the hour of the morning. I'm not a morning person by nature. Waking up to get into the office by 8:00 is tough enough, let alone now getting up a half-hour earlier for my shoulder.

Good morning Lodge.

I was in the office at 5:00 this morning...............

The roofers finished our house Tuesday. It's amazing how fast they tear off the old roof and put the new one on. When our house was built (1978) they used 3/8' plywood, so we had them add a layer of 1/2" plywood over it. The roof felt pretty spongy when I was up there cleaning the gutters. We're waiting for a guy to give us a bid on new gutters, which I hope is soon since it rained the last two nights.

As I recall, you said that you're looking for a new job. I would be too. ;)

We are changing 90% of our software. It has been a project that I have been working on for almost three years and it's a massive project. Over Labor Day weekend we are "flipping the switch". 5 am was by choice. It's the only time my office is quiet (besides after hours) and I can get a lot of things accomplished without distractions. I am a morning person as I would rather come in early versus stay late.

As for looking for something else, I have a good gig but I am always open to checking to see if the grass is greener on the other side. I am lucky because I am in the drivers seat but so far nothing has stood out.

I'm the same way. But I'm forcing myself to get up earlier now that I got my treadmill.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

You are all slackers. I got to my office at 11pm last night and "worked" until 5am ;)

Perks of my job: sleeping 2.5 flights of stairs from my office, nobody else to distract me.

They're just moving right along then. They probably want to do that just to take advantage of the cooler morning temps. That roof in the afternoon sunlight is just going to get hotter. Make sure they got liquids available.
