Good luck! We had the Parent-Coach meeting last Tuesday, no kids allowed. Kids will get their message at first tryout. Ours was interesting as Coach Pauly, after 25 years of coaching, had a new experience this past summer as his own tow kids got cut (son from a baseball all-star team daughter from soccer C1 team). He has a new perspective now on the parent experience.

That's kind of crazy, isn't it? I'll never forget my first year of Peewees we did an A1 and A2. I was expecting to go from Squirt A to A1 or 2 at the least. I was put on the Peewee B1 team. Changed my entire career, for the better. I excelled as a leader and had video game esque offensive outputs; I also worked harder than ever consistently, and didn't let it hold me back. It's where I really learned the importance of workin hard and persevering through adversity. That's one of my highest priorities in teaching the kids I coach now.

Mornin' all. Exam on Wednesday.. Yuck. Only 5 more weeks til the semester is over; that can't come soon enough!

Well, the flu shot is unnecessary this year. Ugh, I just hurt.

ETA: Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. It's true what they say, even when it's a long time coming, such a prognosis still hits hard.

4 day work week. Heading to Houghton for a mini weekend vacation Thursday night. The excuse it to watch Tech lose again, but really, it will just be nice to have a vacation. I suppose we'll have to go to the hockey games too. :rolleyes:

I know what you're going through, kinda. We had 8 years to get ready for my grandfather's death. I don't think it made things any easier.

One comment my mother did make, after his funeral. She told my dad "well, the call we dreaded for 8 years has come and gone. We don't have that to worry about anymore."

Howdy Lodge. Home for 36 hours or so. Headache had me miserable all day and night. Was worried about flying today. I did feel better once I got to the airport. Decided to come home instead of going into the office. Doing a load of laundry, need to repack as I head out to Atlanta Wednesday morning.

Got home to find a World Series hat and tshirt from my parents. And my mom made dinner for me. They are the best. Catching up on some recorded tv shows and getting to bed early. I have a feeling I will be at the office late tomorrow.

Does anyone else see "UNO at UND" and think that this is a series that Riley Cooper and Richie Incognito could really get into?
