Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Windy day here in 320ville.

Hanging with the boys watching some football. Specifically watching the Vikings as they fine tune things for the playoffs...............

He has had a college visit lcally and loved it. Some guy from a college in Calif that keeps calling him. The Calif place doesn't have a chance but he is flattered

Yeah, my view is dont take a chance you can't escape from in car of a bad situation.

At least if he stays local and he has issues w the coach or program he can step back to the inevitable (academics).

He may want to get away from copter mom ;) but he won't be on an island if things go wrong.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Got a call from the nursing home last week. My mom has been sleeping a lot the past week or so. I figured she was just ill, and that this would be normal for someone who's 73 and had Alzheimer's. I got another call from the nursing home this morning. When they feed her, she gets the food in her mouth, chews it, but seems to have forgotten how to swallow. The same/similar when attempting to drink. Assuming this situation does not change, she only has a couple days remaining. Yeah, this is going to be a real productive workweek.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Sorry Clown, I'll keep you in my prayers.

Well, first winter storm watch is in effect for Tuesday. 4-7 inches or more expected. Here comes winter.

Tomorrow we have our pre season parent-athlete-coaches meeting. One week from tomorrow is the start of my high school coaching career and I couldn't be more thrilled!!

Good Morning Lodge.

Sorry Clown. :(

Good luck! We had the Parent-Coach meeting last Tuesday, no kids allowed. Kids will get their message at first tryout. Ours was interesting as Coach Pauly, after 25 years of coaching, had a new experience this past summer as his own tow kids got cut (son from a baseball all-star team daughter from soccer C1 team). He has a new perspective now on the parent experience.
